    I have to friendly fire my teamates when going for S because the AI can't Handle a suspect close to them

  • @sandragruber4596

    I played a round of Ready or Not with some randoms from a public lobby, a while back. One of them was a ex soldier or marine or something and had taught the others tactics and so... When I was arresting a suspect, they yelled at me for it, to "stop the nonsense". They shot every single suspect, even when they had surrendered and when they went down, "death cehecked" them. Giving them at leat one more bullet to the head...
    When I told them, it was complete rubbish how they played the game and that getting them alive was the purpose and made it more challenging than killing everything in sight, they laughed at me and told me that "girls should not play mens games." Okay, first the fact that I'm not a "girl" but a 40 year old hag and as I see it, being old enough to be the mother of these guys. And more important, it is a real shame to see the mechanics, story and tactic aspects of the game going to waste. There are more than enough game for the CoD crowed or how to call them, but they press into a brilliant game like this and give it a bad name...
    Stop the killing is a good motto or like the chief from the first SWAT game put it: "We are in the life saving business!"

      thats plain stupid, they are playing the game as they most enjoy it, if you didnt like it you were welcomed to leave, getting them alive isnt harder, its simply different, cuffing suspects can become quickly boring, the room is clear it doesnt matter if the suspect is alive or dead, because its a fucking game mam, you are supposed to play as you wish, perhaps you should find your own friends hag as you call yourself, because if you cant accept how some people have fun at 40 (no mother of mine would be that young) then you wont at 50, 60 nor 100, live and let live, the only bad reputation this game could get is by gatekeepers who infect the community like a pest

    also, try to go low ready when by your buddies. you can quickly react and shoot if needed, but it can stop you from killing your teammate and being subject to a lot of angry words. that, and you move faster

      Thats for people with what they call "average cognitive abilities". In video games we call them noobs. Well sadly we dont recently. Nowadays we call them "early access participants". Its all the same though. They cry about why they suck. Which usually equates to 'ME CANT NO SHOOT TEAMATE IN CQC ME OOG OOG DUMB MAN". Youll encounter this archetype mostly at gun ranges when not playing video games.

    I'm starting to become convinced that the entire tactical shooter genre is a psyop to get a bunch of prime age people to learn all the basics of things needed to join police and military forces. Half the people I know have learned how to properly clear rooms and basic gun safety via these games.

    It would also be nice if my operator in RON didn't have the strength of a new born baby and could at the very least vault himself up an open, 2ft ledge. Because... Literally anyone would take that option over walking an extra 60ft through multiple potential points of fire just to find a 3 step set of stairs 🤷

    They should add a momentary key for high/low ready so if you don't wanna flag someone you just hold that bottom for the duration, as FPS often fix your head to your gun, it's really unnatural to actually aim around your teammate given it moves your view.

    • @thisplatformsucksalot3487
      @thisplatformsucksalot3487 Год назад

      They do have a hold version for ready low. It just isn't binded to any keys by default. Only the toggle version is binded (which most people re-bind from home key to shift key anyways).

    My biggest pet peeve in RoN is the overuse of the damn optiwand, I think it just completely defeats the purpose of the game knowing exactly whats on the other side of the door as well as brings the pace of the game to a screeching halt. Ive never seen police use these kind of devices in any sort of real scenario, they are usually gonna open up the door and go in. I think leaning on the optiwand to clear buildings hurts your overall time, as well as you should be able to open doors and clear rooms with little to no information as thats where the challenge of this game really comes from.

    • @SpecterNeverSpectator
      @SpecterNeverSpectator Год назад

      same, plus its so damn easy to clear rooms, and as you play the game gets easier, idk you but i got quickly to a point where using the AI teammates was way too easy not to mention slow, now i go solo on all my rounds, only carry a breach shotgun and my guns, grenades make the game way to easy as well, and they are thing ive personally never seen police use, im a first responder entering a place that was taken over, im not special forces entering a terrorist compound filled with hostages and enemies alike

    Good video but I must say to those watching don't go around imposing your way of playing on other people who may not enjoy playing a game in a larper kind of way, even if it may seem that the game is made to be played that way the way of playing is in the one playing don't get that mixed up, there are people who have fun going fast, dangerous and risky, without checking without cuffing and not caring about flagging, a lot of people play the Russian way, meaning no cuffing, only bullets.
    The most important part is to have fun and remember that games are games, guns don't malfunctions so there's no reason to do this but for realism.
    It is important that the milsim and larping community becomes more friendly, as they have been for long gatekeeping and agaisn't newbies, those who don't know aren't taught, but kicked, and that's scares new players from playing, the community is closed and seems that way, even when a lot of communities are very friendly it is that not so minor minority that keeps people away, without even mentioning the elitism some people share.

    These rules are just too simplified. I get that they are helpful and perhaps they are the best rules out there but if I see baddie here actually finger on the trigger aimed at my partners head I'm taking the shot. It all depends on skill. Imagine that the soldier in the scenario about to be executed is someone you deeply care about and you believe for certain it's more likely they live if you shoot.
