  • I've been riding Santa Cruz's super light Blur XC all summer, so here's the tech talk on all the features of the bike and what I've learned from riding it for several months. Make sure you watch the live ride review to find out exactly how that feels on the trail though.
Thanks to Santa Cruz for the extended demo bike loan, thanks to Giro Cycling UK, Peaty's Products and Crud for channel sponsorship and huge thanks to my Patreon supporters for pledging on a monthly basis to keep GKTV growing. I’m curious on your opinion santa cruz blur tr 2023 vs epic evo 2023. Thank You very Much!

I got the very same bike in dark matter color after watching your live ride. Very satisfied with everything except the Aspens. Thinking of replacing with Rekon Race or Vittorias. I noticed your downtube protector is cracked? Same with me due to a flying rock.

Awesome to hear you’ve got the bike. I actually hadn’t noticed the crack! What are the trails like where you ride?

@@GuyKesTV Maybe not a crack? But saw it ruclips.net/video/F2NGOnHqXLw/видео.html at 10:55 in the video. New York (Long Island) trails are some Rooty/techiness but nothing too steep and not rocky at all.

@@dkkim2326 nice! sounds like Rekon and/or Forekaster territory to me. Still a bit wary of Vittoria in wet woods

How much do you use the lockout on your Blur, how necessary on this bike? I just got a Blur and not getting along with the twistloc.... Won't stay locked!

Hmmm. Has it got Rock Shox or Fox suspension?

@@zackarywilkins5665 that’s odd. They normally work fine with RS but they can be a nightmare with Fox. It’s generally down to cable tension so try tweaking that or just drop it back to the dealer.

Can’t argue with you. The only thing I would say is that other brands have increased prices more so SC are looking relatively better value than they ever have done, especially if you factor in how much a lifetime warranty could be worth through years of riding.

they are crazy prices I own a Bronson but I would say they are worth every penny and I personally would defo buy another sc in the future your covered with the warranty

DT hubs are more reliable than pretty much anything but TBF I’ve had a good run with a bunch of different i9 sets
