I am not very surprised to see you making 70.3 two weeks before Kona. Both Frodeno and Lange - (not injured) had their last races five weeks before Kona.
Your Race was MINT! Seems to fit you good to do 140.6 spesific training, even for the 70.3 distance... Maybe its the right mix of Base low effort and higher intensity work for your physiology and nervoussystem, for sure you just get faster even doing that and going trough few shorter builds for the 70.3'ees after Kona. So exited to see you racing Kona, brough back my intrest towards the race to tenfold. Was so bummed for your injury... #TeamLionelSanders wish Garneau would sell Kona 2019 kits, my 2017 kit is getting pretty worn :)

We’ve had “change bike size”, “I’m too heavy so gonna go vegan and drop 10lbs”.... my money is that you’ll suddenly switch to barefoot running, and run a marathon to “test it out” 3 days before the world championship.

it Is not luck what you need to win @Kona. You have to be 10 minutes in front of Lange after bike and you can afford to burn your 37,8 kcal/kg 10 minutes slower than him. That is what u need. Simple as that.
