- This superb looking Rickman Metisse Steve McQueen Desert Racer is owned by Cumbrian Twinshock racer Alan Bott. These very unique machines are currently being constructed by Metisse Motorcycles in Farringdon in the UK. This bike is #6 of only 300 bikes that will be built as exact replica's of the iconic movie star's 1960's MK3 Machine. The original bike that McQueen owned back in the 1960's was built by his good friend Bud Ekins who of course was the actual rider that made the fence jump in the Hollywood blockbuster movie The Great Escape.

My Grandfather bought me a Rickman 125 in the mid 70's for $100. Wish I still had it. It was an head turner.
Wow ! What an absolute work of art ! Beautiful.
Mr. Chris Montignani for a long time I have been following with care all his videos made with sincere passion. All these documents she has made will be part of the story destined to remain in the memory of us passionate and this Metisse is not just history but legend of passion British engineering that you can proudly present to the world.
(A real jewel of engineering to which even Italy has given, by your choice, a small contribution) From Sanremo (Italy) a sincere thanks for the excellent work she has done for us all.
My Dad has an original Rickman Matisse with this engine. Man alive even by modern standards it is quick and the sound…
Had a Bultaco Sherpa ( 1973 ) way back...when I was 15..now I ride a Triumph Bonneville T 100..even McQueen would love..!
@@noidontthinksolol McQueen, owned over a hundred bikes, he wasn't concerned about performance, case in point, when he filmed, the Great Escape, the Triumph TR 6 that he rode in the film, was his choice, because he always loved Triumph, as his top choice..
The bike is a great example of excellent workmanship. This is a piece of art that should be in my living room!!
I agree Scott but you would have to have big numbers on that Cheque that you would be giving me .
I LOVE métisse. Fantastic video
Absolutely fantastic bike, i would like to have one!
Beautiful bike,I’d love to have one!
Geiler Sound ❤🤤🤤🤤❤
I'm not really interested in looking at bikes but I had a blast on one of these yesterday and can tell you it put a huge grin on my face. And for the 'little people' who clearly don't know their bikes, it doesn't have a choke, you tickle the carb to start it.
Plastica free , molto bella
✌️😜 🏁Le King du côôl 🏁✌️😎
I never knew the foot pegs were solid. I always thought they were a folding style of peg.
Those solid pegs would take a serious lump out of your leg if you laid the bike down.
@@johnbradley1599 Not to mention snagging and causing a wreck if you got to close to a rock or tree stump etc.
Hi Yann I’m not entirely clear as to what you require, are you looking for information on Metisse frames or information on Triumph motors
hi Chris ,I would like informations on the frame the cycle part .I don't now if you have?
Yann Renault Try metisse-motorcycles.com
Where's the side stand? How is that it is upright?
Packard Bell just by magic.
After several months of riding through whatever terrain you and that Rickman frame can handle and find the chain has stretched, how do you determine how many links to take out of the chain?
Or perhaps when the chain gets a bit slack after several hundred miles, the owner would just replace it...
christoforos pilitsis Good question. . although as far as I am aware none of these Rickman frames ever had chain adjusters as standard fitments which is strange really when every other bike on the planet has them fitted. I assume as you said they just expected you to fit a brand new chain whenever they got worn out. But thanks for the heads up because it had never crossed my mind really initially but I will of course find out why.
They used eccentric washers at the swing arm spindle. Google gives more details
Are the pipes open or is there some of baffles?
No straight through pipes with no mufflers.
Wo kann man dieses fahrzeug erhalten
Its a triumph 6T motor not t6! chain adjustment eccentric cam on swingning arm. More ruclips.net/video/uwbC0t_nOIo/видео.html
We'd thrash him, anybody WHO knows anything about moto x knows DAVE Thorpe is always behind me "not by much" but GREAT BRITAIN and SCOTLAND/FREEEEEDOMMM,can ride a bike. Stay cool Y'all
Benelli made a copy cat of the Metisse and it was sold by Montgomery Ward.
nice besides the shitty girly music

I would like to make rickman metisse I am looking for plans and documents.
I found a manufacturer of 'wasp' frames in England. For motors I would like to mount triumph motors.
Do you have documents or anything to help me.
