    What a cutie! (Olivia)
    The area seems very family-oriented.
Glad you shared the comparison btw areas.

It was kind of interesting to see Star and Eagle compared as the safest, but most expensive areas. Eagle is a fully developed area and has been that way for some time. Star on the other hand was until very recently a small, rather rural community, now growing rapidly. Neither are cities as you would normally describe Caldwell, Nampa, Meridian, or Boise. When you have cities, that have been commercial centers for many years, you are going to find varied age housing and other normal city type issues. These can include gang activity and homeless populations, but that doesn't mean they actually are a problem in any of these cities. We moved to South Nampa from N. Calif eight years ago and have not noticed any crime issues in our neighborhood other than an unlocked car issue.

I read a warning about gangs in Nampa. I'd hate for a family member to move to Nampa & not know about the Mexican gangs.

Hey there! I’ve addressed this in some of my videos and have some videos regarding crime and safety on all the areas here. There is some gang activity although it tends be more of a Caldwell thing and even then it’s not broad spectrum meaning most areas of Nampa and Caldwell are very safe.

There are too many people in this valley already! As a native Idahoan, it’s just out of control!

In the last 10 yrs, it has changed due to Nampa accommodating the newcomers instead of taking care of the people that have lived here their whole lives. Negative.

How about smaller older two bedroom homes , I’m looking for country living, garden space and not close to neighbors

Hey Cassie - I thought i replied to this and just saw your comment again. Yep, there are options for that in Nampa and Caldwell!

Outskirts of either Nampa or Caldwell, maybe even kuna or Middleton. If you really hate neighbors, try Melba.

Don't tell people they can move to Caldwell after you told someone else that's where the gangs are.

Very nice video. I was curious as the where the VA Hospitals are located? My wife and I are both retired, we have family in the Boise area and are considering moving to the Nampa area next summer. Thank You.

Hey Bruce! There is a VA clinic in Caldwell next to Nampa, and the main VA hospital is in Boise (basically downtown)

Hey to be honest with you I am an Idaho native born and raised Boise/Nampa.. my wife is from the central coast California born and raised.. Idaho is a great place to live but you should know a lot of the people are closed minded and not all but most are stuck in there ways and DO NOT WELCOME out siders especially people from California.. sticker's and flags on cars and trucks saying go home or stay out of Idaho but in not so nice of word...I know because I used to be one of them for 30+ yrs until I met my wife a few yrs ago. Now living in Mississippi and the people are extremely kind even the riff raff. Go spend a week or two in Idaho before you up and move for sure 😊 hope I helped.

@@kevincloyd522 Hey Kevin - I appreciate the feedback! Yes, I do see the Don't California my Idaho stickers etc... Unfortunately there is that mentality here and I get the concern for sure. Most people moving here though it seems are aligned with the local flavor of politics. It can be difficult to sort of break into life here but we've found a great community and most everyone is super friendly I've found. It seems like it's that group think mentality - all Californian's are bad - and then when they actually talk with someone, it's more like - "Well, you're OK, but it's all those other people" LOL

If you left San Diego for Nampa, you must have left for economic reasons. SD has much more to offer.

I agree. It offers high prices, high taxes, heavy regulation, crime, grossly excessive homelessness all bound together by poor roads and heavy traffic. I lived there for 63 years and I am glad to be out and living in the Treasure Valley.
