"What's up, I'm Anthony and this is a pie." For a few minutes I thought the pie wasn't going to be referenced again haha. Great video! As a self-taught musician and songwriter that knows nothing about theory, it's nice to learn some terms to use so I can stop pointing at a screen and saying "put that one over there!" and pissing off producers/engineers. Thanks!
That was a very good visual/audio demonstration. The metronome in the background with its distinct sound for the first beat of each measure such that it sounded out tick, tack, tack, tack was fabulous when combined with the visual display in your DAW.
"The internet is great because you can watch me over and over again" Must be the most narcissistic thing i have ever heard, and i can totally relate. 11/10 video
It's not narcissistic, guy just saying that you can relearn if you miss something. It's narcissistic to consider such a gentle comment in the way you did.
Landr is best place to learn music. Their pages on chrome about music production is also very clear and their utube channel tutorial are also clear. Thanks landr❤️
You´ve done a great job. I just started to learn to play drums, and couldn´t get my head around the time mesure. Thank you for explaining it in so simple, quick way.
G' Day Anthony, Crikey! This is hands down the most interesting teaching video I have ever watched, Well explained in a simplified style, U blew my mind when U started using Ableton to demonstrate how music is built using those principles, I am totally gobsmacked watching you add the features & hearing the results Live, Good on U Mate!, Will B coming back often to see more of the other vids, Cheers Mate! R.R.
That was great. You gave the fundamentals in such a short time. But you dint talk about silence. I heard there can be gaps between beats. Comment please. Or post a video explaining it.
The one thing I’m confused on is like when you set the bpm, does the DAW automatically change the tempo of the individual sounds? Or is setting the tempo just for your reference and the metronome?
Beats--and beets--are delicious. You've got to prepare them right. Making beet chips with good flavor is pretty much on par with making a beat that's absolutely fire. Thanks for watching :)
You can keep breaking down rhythms by fractions: quarter note, eighth note, sixteenth note, thirty-second note, sixty-fourth note, one-hundred-twenty-eighth note.. and on and on! You won't find much past thirty second notes, unless you get into percussion music. Hope this helped!
What other questions about rhythm do you have?
I don't understand about the beat.
@@anotherordinaryguy4992 Check out this post to keep learning :) blog.landr.com/what-is-rhythm-time-beat-meter/
Plz tells or teach us,
What are the types of rhythm pattern in music
I don't understand dark type beat please help 😓
its 3 am and i still have no idea what rhythm is
When he said pie, I really felt that.
YOU HAVE TO GROW THE PIE
Awesome....in a quick 7 minute video you presented a lot of information in a very easy to understand way. Good job!
Hey! Thanks for taking the time to watch and leave a nice comment. All the best.
This video made me understand a very confusing topic for me ever since. Now, you made me more interested in music and how it's created.
Thank you for letting me know! I'm so glad this has helped you and inspired you. Made my day

The pie is the best part!
I almost wish the pie didn't get referenced again. It would have been so funny.

Pie.... such a deep word
Deepdish.
Very clear explanation!
Thanks bro this really helps I’m tryna get back into making beats
Super and nice simple explanation
This video helped me out alot thanks. How can i calculate the bpm of a song (so i can practice with metronome)
You can use tap tempo to tap along with the song and calculate the BPM: www.all8.com/tools/bpm.htm
that beat was AWSOME!
Very well explained 👌🏼
Thank you 🙂

Thanks for watching. This is true, 'rests' were not covered in the video. We'll look at creating another video on rests in the future!
The one thing I’m confused on is like when you set the bpm, does the DAW automatically change the tempo of the individual sounds? Or is setting the tempo just for your reference and the metronome?
It normally change ("warp") it in Ableton, unless you deactivate it.
Great Presentation.🙏
It's nice I clearly understand what is beat and rhythm
LOVED THIS!!! ❤
Best explaining video of notes
Glad you think so!
Great and fun tutorial. Thanks

That was so cool.
the pie slayed
So the number of beats is equal to how many notes are in a measure so 6/8 time would have 6 beats per measure?
Awesome explanation sir💥
Hey Kiran, thanks so much glad you think so!
Great! thank ypu so much. Somebody culd tell me whats the 7:00 song?
Awesome Brooo Thanks For Explaining
Always welcome
nice video man love
Appreciate it
what is the software that you are using in this video?
3:27 useful 👍
So coool!!!
So from what I understand, as a beat maker they use Whole notes, half notes, quarter notes and 8? notes am I right or wrong?
Totally right. This type of theory goes further, but these are the building blocks of music.
@@LANDRmusicReally thanks, just a new to the music.
You are an amazing person sir plz if u can plz upload different track ofbeat
Ahh thanks Arun. I will do my best to upload a different track soon!

Is there a limit in doing beat or rhytmic pattern in music?
You can keep breaking down rhythms by fractions: quarter note, eighth note, sixteenth note, thirty-second note, sixty-fourth note, one-hundred-twenty-eighth note.. and on and on! You won't find much past thirty second notes, unless you get into percussion music. Hope this helped!
Is instrumental a beat? Like piano or so
How do you use this Lethal in ableton? where can i get it?
Hey MFDOOMgr, Try it free here: plugins.landr.com/en/product/lethal-audio/
Damn, I feel hungry now. I guess I'll go order an eighth note
