I just came home from my night time spanish class and was so confused why they were using the verb hacer to describe the weather. I couldn't get how "to do or to make" had anything to do with the weather. Well leave it to my good friend Dr Danny Evans to explain it in his video. Now it makes sense to me, the weather "is doing" something. Once again Dr Evans you got my head to stop spinning, Muchas Gracias .
I'm taking a Spanish II class online and am experiencing this SAME situation. I thought learning the weather and seasons sounded so pleasant until two pages into the text my brain is reeling and I couldn't wrap my head around even the basic expressions. I've tried to continue the reading and the panic just kept rising that I couldn't comprehend what I was trying to read. If I had to go through the whole course in that way I'm certain I would bomb. The text is too much at once to process efficiently. This video saved me for this first week/unit of the class. I'm so grateful. I'll be looking for other videos to help me study.
Our prof Danny is THE best! 🏅 I'm trying to get him a knighthood here in England, as he's amazing the way he's helping so many people across the globe. Since discovering your channel & podcast, Sir Evans, my Spanish has progressed tenfold & I'm learning new stuff each day! Thank you SO very much for enhancing my confidence to have a go at speaking Spanish & making such a positive difference to the lives of so many of us. 😊 Eres fantástico y el mejor profesor de español del mundo 👏 👏 (I hope I wrote that correctly). 😃
Thank you! I just listened to 2 other weather videos, which were both really good too, but yours really explained the conjugations (using hacer) and clarified how each of the 2 ways to say the same things meant which way in English. Thank you! That helped a lot.
LOve this Spanish class by Dr. Danny Evans. The explanations are very clear and easy to comprehend :-) Hope i will be able to speak Spanish fluently thru this class :-)
I just discovered this Chanel and im completely beginning to understand Spanish because you explain everything in a clear, perfect and detailed way thx Dr Danny
Watching your amazing videos is my daily routine to learn Spanish and I can't ever skip it! Please, never stop posting new videos; we learn a lot from you. Thanks a million Dr. Danny!
I love the casual assumption at around 1:20 that "do or make" are two synonyms! One can imagine a culture existing in which "doing" emphatically meant acting without changing anything in the environment, and "make" was the opposite -- at which point it becomes clear that such a culture ain't us!
Dr Danny Evans, there you are!!!!! i am not sure why, but The Spanish Tutor does not show up together with the videos of Que Hora Es. You are the only Spanish teacher i saw who has enough knowledge who can empower your student to gain a bird's eye view of the language, you are the only one on RUclips and you even out-do the audio books i tried out there. So this is where I can find you, haha. After the 7 episodes of Que Hora Es, I felt like i wanted to attend a Master Class if you had one, so I tried to check the list of Master Class. You deserve to be hailed as one of the Masters. THANK YOU FOR YOUR GIFT OF LANGUAGE!!!!!! I am a Filipino, and in seven episodess of your sessions, i improved several steps ahead. Estoy feliz ver aqui!!!! (i don't know how to put the exclamation mark at the beginning of the sentence using this keypad, haha)
After watching your video, I am able to finally make sense of all the different ways you can say the same thing essentially. I was confused and struggling before but feel so much better about it now. Thank you for your help! This was my first time viewing, I’ve subscribed! 👍🏼
Hi Danny, thank you so much for your lessons, you're a brilliant tutor. I have a quick question, why/ when do you use esta instead of hace on some phrases and not others? Thanks again
Do you have video on these 3 verbs (Estar, Hacer, and Haber) but in the future tense? So it would be estará, hará, habrá. Because I really need help with them.
Danny, I get so much out of your lessons that I would like to make a donation. How to do so? You really are a teacher. Many people are extraordinary in their particular skill -- but, they don't know how to teach their skill. You do.
Hello Danny! I am a native Spanish speaker. The way I say is “Cómo está el tiempo?” And not “Como hace el tiempo?” The phrase “Como hace…” is very strange to me. “Hace calor” is said in my former country of Paraguay, but we never say "Como hace el tiempo?", which indirectly implies "How is the weather making?"
Senor Danny, tengo una pregunta. Why do you keep using hace and esta interchangeably? Why can't we only use hace or esta to describe ALL the weather conditions?
As always, that was a great lesson. But I really wonder why you laughed at the beginning of the video(00.18 sec.) Honestly I watched for a couple of times :)) Anyway thanks a lot Dr. Danny, buenas noches de Turquia
I started learning Spanish 4 months ago. And I have been learning a lot from your videos. But I have a question: I thought the letter "v" is pronounced as "b" in Spanish, am I right?
Creo que estás errado, la manera correcta de preguntar es: ¿cómo está el clima?, al menos en México no hay encontrarás gente que pregunte ¿qué tiempo hace?
Try describing the weather where you are below.
lluevo
Aight
hace fresco y esta nublado

Hi there. Thanks for the video. At 4:29, For the words "ventoso" and "viento", shouldn't the letter "V" be pronounced like a "B" ?

As a native Spanish speaker I have to say there are other easier and more common ways to ask about the weather such as: ¿Cómo está el clima/tiempo ?
You explain way better than my Spanish teacher .
Gracias senor ♥
Great, waiting for new lessons, thank youuuuu

Dr. Evans, how do we differentiate to use "hace" or "está" in describing weather?

I’m a bit confused with how you used either hace or esta. When do i use hace vs esta ?
100th comment 🥳🥳🥳 this is also my 100th time watching this 😀🔫
Insted of (¿que tiempo hace?) I use to say (¿como es el tiempo hoy?) Is that corect?
Why did we use estar for some weather conditions and not hay?
Esta` is for temporary conditions, but is not "hace buen tiempo" a temporary condition also?
Senor Danny, tengo una pregunta. Why do you keep using hace and esta interchangeably? Why can't we only use hace or esta to describe ALL the weather conditions?

We use "hasta" to say "until" as in "hasta luego" (see you later). Hace is what somone or something is doing, like the weather. Hace sol
