  • This Mango, Orange and Pineapple wine is made from cartons of fruit juice tastes great, think of it as an adult version of Lilt with its totally tropical taste.
    Lots of mango and pineapple flavours come through in the finished wine with a nice acidity from the orange which balances the natural sweetness.
    This mouthwatering fruity & juicy wine is best served chilled.
    You can make wine from cartons of juice that you can buy in the supermarket. Just check that they do not have a preservative listed in the ingredients as this will stop the yeast from working. But most cartons of juice in the supermarket are pasteurised so will be perfect.

    The juice should be preservative free to give the yeast a great chance to ferment

      A few tweaks to the plain juice and you get a great tasting wine.

    Great to see you back. I think it was your videos that got me into winemaking. I make quite a lot of Supermarket Juice Wine, usually with 3 litres of 100% juice and the rest water. 1 red grape and 2 apple juice makes a nice rose. 3 red grape or 3 apple works equally well. I even made a batch with Red grape, apple & prune 😯 it was really nice. Just checked my wine diary; 23 gallons last year 😯 Thanks guys 🍷👍

      Do you add extra sugar, or it will be quite weak, not that thats a bad thing, a low alcohol wine is nice and refreshing

      @@Brewbitz yes I normally add up the sugar content on the juices then add sugar to make a total sugar in the region of 1150g That usually gives me 13-14%.

    Hey mate. Loving your videos.
    Do you have any videos showing how to add herbs n spices to wine?
    For example. apple and cinnamon, pineapple and ginger, strawberry and basil. xx

      Hi and thanks.
      No videos adding spices, but its easy. Just add it at the same time as the rest of the ingredients.

    Having a go at your recipe, started 5 days ago, started at 1.100 and it's still bubbling like mad, took your advice and made sure it was at a proper temp before anything else

    Hi Davin, so will this wine be classed as a all round one or a Dessert wine

    • @Brewbitz
      @Brewbitz  3 месяца назад +1

      I think this wine is a sweet wine. Not a dessert wine as those are really sweet, but this wine does have a nice gentle sweetness to it

    nice video and a siphon sock is good idea I had not seen before.. but why not get an inexpensive auto-siphon? That was you dont have to keep sucking the end of the tube. Well its just the outside you suck but then that outside gets dipped into the wine as it fills up and defeats the pint of sanitising, not?

    • @Brewbitz
      @Brewbitz  5 месяцев назад

      Hi. Yeah the syphon sock really helps.
      As I say in the video, if you dont want to suck, then use the auto-syphon.

      It might be .996, but it is sweet, not dry. due to sugars that yeast cant eat.
