Loved this tutorial! It was my first granny square project, and I loved how it turned out - I used red/pink and lined the hood portion with the fabric from an old silk pillowcase to protect my curls. Perfect for a midwest winter! Thanks!
I incidentally jumped into your video, after watching a lot of videos about making granny squares for several days. And I have to say thank you for giving the clearest instruction ever for such beginner like me. 😂
Such an easy to follow tutorial. Super repetitive so i can watch tv and mindlessly crochet. I made mine dark red and light pink. Thanks so much for the tutorial!!
thank you so much for this tutorial!!! i have been looking for soo long for the perfect granny square balaclava/scarf pattern and i didnt really like a lot of them cause they mostly have pointed hoods, but this one is so pretty and exactly what i was looking for!!! i also really appreciate that you put this out for free
Hello. I was looking for a way to knit a scarf when I found your video. It's very cute, so I'd like to use it as a reference and knit it. Thank you for posting such a wonderful video:)
Cute and simple pattern! Thanks a bunch! Only thing is wish I could’ve seen you sew the hood part but I figured it out. It was very simple! Thanks again! I plan to make another one soon in another color.
So for the hood part you sew three granny squares in a line. These will create the sides and the back ( kind of like a U shape) and then you attach the forth granny squares to all three of them. This will create the top. Hope this helps and if not send me a dm on insta and I can try to explain it better:)
hello ummm just wanted to say i’m jealous af!! i have a crochet and knitting book that had this pattern, but i wanted to try a video version! thank you smmm for this and ur so pretty!!!
The yarn is called friends wool by the brand hobbii. I don’t remember the exact colours I used. One was kind of off white and the other is a greyish blue.
ahhh no worries! I just finished making my scoodie and I’m sooo obsessed w it. I was so intimated by granny squares before this, but they’re actually so much fun. thank you x10000000 for this tutorial
Heyy :) the pattern doesn’t change if you only use one colour for the squares. You are still gonna chain the same amount and do 7 rounds in total. You just leave out the step of changing colour. Hope this helps! :)

(respectfully) i think your granny squares are way bigger than 15cm
I had to add a few rows more cuz they weren’t big enough to look like hers(respectfully too)
But it’s looking gorg❤
LMAO yes they may look smaller or larger than 15cm, since you're looking at it THROUGH your phone!

great tutorial tysm!!
I'll make this!
Great tutorial. But I want to ask what material of the yarn do you use? Or any suggestion that has a soft and can keep you warm? Thankyou!
For the yarn, would you recommend using cotton? Or acrylic???
Hey! Which brand and colorway of yarn did you use? thank you for the tutorial!
The yarn is called friends wool by the brand hobbii. I don’t remember the exact colours I used. One was kind of off white and the other is a greyish blue.
do you have any tips for weaving in the ends?
Sadly I don’t :( I really hate this part hahah

Hii! If I wanted to make this but use a solid color for the squares. How many chains should I make for one row and how many should I do? Thank you!!!!

could u tell me the details of yarn?
All the materials are listed in the description box :)
Yarn size?!
I used medium weighted yarn:) You can find all the materials in the description box :)
