Great video. I have a big number of these games. Its been said the HD collections (Jak & Dexter , Ratchet & Clank , Metal Gear Solid etc) are increasing in value as well. I picked up Sly Cooper collection and learned from a guy later that one was going for $70-80 bucks on E-Bay. I have a number of these you showed so that is cool to see.

The games i recommend finding on the PlayStation 3 that will get more expensive, is Killzone trilogy as it contains Killzone 1 running at 720p. Also I recommend, Painkiller: Hell & Damnation
In my country, people apparently doesn't know what the difference between uncommon and rare because almost every PS3 games are being sold for 20-100 dollars.

I'm in Australia, most the prices are similarly expensive, with a few exceptions on certain games and consoles (Futurama on PS2 here is between $20-30 - in the U.S. it's astronomically high 🤔) I got 50 Cent Blood In The Sand for 20 bucks recently from eBay. Shadows Of The Damned for $25. Pretty cheap. Silent Hill games are expensive. Most of the games you mentioned are expensive AF. You're lucky to have so many sealed games 💰

I've been collecting and hunting PS3 games seriously since around 2017 when they were really cheap up until now. During that time I've only come across Folklore twice and 3D Dot Game Heroes 3 times. That's how rare they are. 😮

What's crazy is I got all of those games at gamestop when they were giving them away. Around the 2nd year the ps4 released all of those games were dirt cheap under 20$ and in the b2g1 category.

Only one I got is 3D Dot Game Heroes. I played Puppeteer many years ago because I borrowed it... FROM MY LOCAL LIBRARY. Insane find, I know. I thought about straight up asking the library if I could just buy the game off but... it was from a library. You can imagine the state the disc was in. And at the time I had heard that resurfacing blu-ray could ruin it so I couldn't bring myself to risk that. A damn shame, but hey, at least I got to enjoy the game.
I got so many ps3 games from gamestop for 5 bucks, and buy 2 get 1 free, I have 300 plus and pretty proud of my collection. Always treat your games with respect, you never know what you have till there gone
I have a lot of these games in my collection, but the emotional value means more to me than the price it would sell for (even though I could use the money). I think I have a double copy of the psn network collection though, cause I found a copy back in the day for a reasonable price. I might try to auction on ebay and see how that goes.
Drakengard is expensive before they re release, but here in the philippines ps3 games are cheap even the rare ones, drakengard i found $6 in the marketplace, and azuras wrath you can buy those for $5, but some of the jrpgs are really hard to find

I picked up the Simpsons game back in 2007 when it released, I still have it and the poster. The poster was only the first print. I bought blood on the sand long ago too.
The only game I have here shown in your video is "Lollipop Chainsaw," which is still a very good game to this day. The only two games shown in your video that I still want to buy on disc and play are "The Simpsons Game" and " Legend of Spyro Dawn of The Dragon." I don't think that Spyro game is even available for purchase on the stores for the PS3, PS4, and PS5, so that makes this game even more needed for me to buy at some point this year. If I can't find the game in an online PlayStation store, at least I'll own the game on disc.
There's another rare PS3 game and it's The Last of Us Post Pandemic Edition, it's super hard to find these days and it costs from $1500-$2500! Insane price!

I recently came up on a PS3 fat at a church rummage sale 50 bucks 2 OEM controllers The Blu-ray remote and a GameStop controller all for $50 bucks. I still have all my old PlayStation 3 game so I busted them out and sure enough I have the best of PlayStation Network I remember picking up that GameStop for cheap years back. I just came up on your video because I'm now going to be hunting PS3 games now that I have a working one again!
I bought Folklore last year... Had to fork out 500 DKK, which equals to about 70 US Dollars. F1 2014 is about 7 bucks here in Denmark, and quite easy to find.
1 year later the ps3 is still the best option for playing great games on a budget because the best games, those that have passed the test of time are still cheap today since they are still easy to find. I'm not really a collector but my 50+ games would make the top 100 of most ps3 gamers in terms of just being damn fun. That's the advantage of having started late like I did in 2019. All my games + the console cost me less than a PS5.with no game attached.

I bought all pro football 2K eight last August for about $30 and it was used. Brand new is almost $100 I saw NFL Blitz mention and the price tag I figured everything other than Madden is going to be expensive
Huge difference, jilbroken ps3 could have problems during gameplay and save games could be erased without warning also the jilbroken system could be broken, nothing like the original disc
Just found a copy of folklore on eBay for 40 ironically it was sealed and ne🤔 so I picked it up. Received it in the mail to❤ Interesting enough the 2 legend of hero’s cold steal games seem to be kinda hard to find for semi decent prices as well…. Still have not found a copy of Odin sphere sadly 😭 great game but it’s not worth $100 plus for a copy…. Did find lost dimension, AR Nosurge: Ode to an unborn star and Eternal Sonata at my local bookman’s for about $20 each😂 so I was happy
I spent 7 months searching Wolverine Origins for good price. I live in Ukraine so mostly sellers in our country taking prices from Ebay which dosen't make sense. Mostly times it costs around 50-40$ and game exreme rare but i got very big luck to find mine as 15$ with manual.
Afrika is a rare one too. im trying to get Syberia collection its super rare and very expensive. Painkiller hell and damnation is another one. drakengard 3, marvel super hero squad the infinity gauntlet just to name a few. i found dead space 2 and simpsons game ps3 no manual for $5 for both. i just started collecting again. i got out of it in 2011 sold all my ps3 stuff including my dragon ball z collectors boxed ps3 games. i regret it now .

Saddest thing is that most of the games shown on this video can be downloaded for free on the internet thanks to HEN, a free way of modifying your PS3.
Nothing wrong with collecting free digital. OG collectors have an uncontrollable urge to buy the physical and to keep buying physical games to increase their collection. I'm addicted to a point, and yet i rarely play my games even after I buy them, which is weird. I think it is the thrill just like gambling.
Came here to see what the price of Spider-Man: Web of Shadows was in 2021...yeah it's only gone up. Been wanting that game for years now, but I can't part with the cash for that price tag.
This video was made when cvid fever hit the games market. Some of the prices have come down dramatically. I found a PS3 Rambo game today and was surprised that it doesn't have many North American copies on eeby. Do you read any PlayStation forums? I ask since, you have a lot of knowledge about the sets.

We aren't born knowing Motorstorm RC was only released "physically" in PAL territories (code inside a case). That is why I made apparent what I knew had affected the price jumps 2020 through 2022. BTW, I wasn't being negative or critical of your work. I know this was 2 years ago but I just saw Foklore in the game store today for sale. May have to go back tomorrow and take another look.

I bought all pro football 2K eight last August for about $30 and it was used. Brand new is almost $100 I saw NFL Blitz mention and the price tag I figured everything other than Madden is going to be expensive
I picked up 3D Dot Hero yesterday at Retro World Expo I only found one vendor that had it. Paid $50.
Whats the difference or advantages between having physical ps3 games or jailbreaking ps3 really?
If you lie collecting physical ganes , jailbreak is cheaper for sure.
Your system dies and the games along with it.
Huge difference, jilbroken ps3 could have problems during gameplay and save games could be erased without warning also the jilbroken system could be broken, nothing like the original disc

I spent 7 months searching Wolverine Origins for good price.
I live in Ukraine so mostly sellers in our country taking prices from Ebay which dosen't make sense.
Mostly times it costs around 50-40$ and game exreme rare but i got very big luck to find mine as 15$ with manual.
Afrika is a rare one too. im trying to get Syberia collection its super rare and very expensive. Painkiller hell and damnation is another one. drakengard 3, marvel super hero squad the infinity gauntlet just to name a few. i found dead space 2 and simpsons game ps3 no manual for $5 for both. i just started collecting again. i got out of it in 2011 sold all my ps3 stuff including my dragon ball z collectors boxed ps3 games. i regret it now .

I was able to pick up a few of these from eBay: Lollipop, Shadows of the Damned, Fist of the North Star, Wolverine, I already had Spider-Man: Dimensions but I definitely been looking into getting a good Bleach Game! Is that one any good?

OG collectors have an uncontrollable urge to buy the physical and to keep buying physical games to increase their collection.
I'm addicted to a point, and yet i rarely play my games even after I buy them, which is weird.
I think it is the thrill just like gambling.

This video was made when cvid fever hit the games market. Some of the prices have come down dramatically. I found a PS3 Rambo game today and was surprised that it doesn't have many North American copies on eeby. Do you read any PlayStation forums? I ask since, you have a lot of knowledge about the sets.

The video reflect 2021 a lot of factors play into it and yes some have went down.

@@MrWrightWay I'm not sure what you mean by assuming. I ask if you gather knowledge from PlayStation forums. We aren't born knowing Motorstorm RC was only released "physically" in PAL territories (code inside a case). I actually didn't realize the title read 2023, though I imagine that being an error, since the video description shows it was uploaded in 2021. That is why I made apparent what I knew had affected the price jumps 2020 through 2022.
BTW, I wasn't being negative or critical of your work. This response and a couple others make me suspect you get heat in the comments often, so you put up a defense by default. I mean no harm :) I come in peace. Had I been critical, it would be in the form of constructive criticism. I just want an open dialogue, not simply drop a 'nice vid' and bounce.
