Thanks for this guys. Will use it as a reference once I'll reread Phase 1 & 2 to prepare for Phase 3! Appreciate the effort you put into these timelines!
Thanks! Phase 3 starts with Charles Soule's comic book mini-series "Shadows of Starlight" in October 2023. The first novel in Phase 3 will be "The Eye of Darkness" by, George Mann releasing on November 14, 2023. Phase 3 is going to last until 2025, so you'll have a while to catch up haha
Realllllllly wish I had known about Path of Deceit before I started reading Convergence. Just like I'm quite glad I read the Phase I comics alongside Fallen Star. So much missed info without those.
Hi and sorry for my bad english. I'm french. I understood that phase 1 wave 1 start is ''light of the jedi'' and phase 1 wave 2 start is the short story ''hidden danger'' but where is the phase 1 wave 3 start ? Just after ''tempest runner'' ? Or it start with the second manga ? Thanks. All the best from France
Hi, thanks for your question. The story of Phase 1 Wave 3 centers around The Fallen Star, so we would say it technically starts with "Starlight: Past Mistakes". Tempest Runner starts kind of a Phase 1 Wave 2.5 for all intents and purposes. Everything that takes place from Tempest Runner to "Past Mistakes" fills in the gaps between The Rising Storm and The Fallen Star. It's awesome to hear we have viewers in France! All the best from us in the USA to you too.
@@starwarslads thanks so much for the response. Yep' I like so much your vidéos and it's nice to improve my Bad english too. I know that my english grammar is horrible but I try my best step by step. Thanks once again for your response. And thanks for your channel. ++

Nice Video, i like Videos about Books. I don't want do read the young adult novels. The phase 1 from Justina Irland were so bad. What do you think about only read the 3 adult novels ? The books of phase two wil come out next year. I'm from Germany so i have to wait
Hallo! If you mean Out of the Shadows by Justina Ireland, we agree it's the weakest YA book of the whole initiative so far. Seems it may have even had some stuff cut out with how strangely Phase 1 Wave 2 is paced and how its story beats are picked up. We still recommend Into the Dark especially to get a strong understanding of the Drengir, and Midnight Horizon is a solid book. Sucks you have to wait for Phase 2 still, luckily it's only two waves so it's shorter, but be patient with the first adult novel, Convergence. It pays off by the end of the phase, we promise. Both phases have already payed significant roles in Phase 3, hope you can stick with us and check out our reviews as you get to catch up!
We decided not to include High Republic releases that were not apart of a distinct phase like Young Jedi Adventures, Jedi: Survivor, “What Makes a Jedi”, etc. If you’re interested in reading that story though, you would ready it between Phase 2 and Phase 1.
For the most part, The High Republic tends to keep it storytelling and characters specific to each medium (Adult novels, YA novels, junior novels, & comics). So, yes, you could skip the comics and it wouldn’t change much of the story or characters that are a part of the novels. The biggest exception to this rule is Marvel’s The High Republic Phase 1 comic, which does feature Avar Kriss as one of the lead characters. Avar is one of the protagonists of Light of the Jedi, then she disappears from novels almost entirely and instead becomes a comic character. Now, in Phase 3, she has once again returned to novels as one of the protagonists of The Eye of Darkness and Temptation of the Force. The novels do understand that many readers haven’t read the comics, so they do a good job of catching you up on everything she has been doing, but if you want to read her full story yourself you should read the Phase 1 Marvel Comics. The other exceptions to this rule are the lead Jedi from Marvel’s The High Republic Phase 2 comics, who do appear as protagonists in the YA novel Path of Vengeance. They aren’t quite as important though to that book as Avar is to her books. Hope that helped!
We still have the Disney haters, saying Star Wars is ruined. Yet The High Republic has been nothing but successful. What is wrong with ignorant people?

Thank you! Enjoy reading The High Republic
Thanks for making this! I own everything from phase 1 and 2 but wasn't sure where to start so this was very helpful!
Awesome! Glad it was helpful
thanks for this, i just recently finished path of deceit on audible, about to start convergence and ive ordered some of the comics :)
Happy to help!
When does phase 3 begin? I've read most of phase one, not much of phase 2, but hopefully trying to read more. Keep up the good content

It adds so much to the Jedi storyline for Convergence. Glad you're enjoying the initiative!
Plus Path of Deceit totally justifies Phase 2's move to an earlier time period.@@starwarslads

No one mentioned the first short story from "tales of Jedi and sith ......"

i dont know whats going on with the comics, phase 2 adventures are still not available in the UK. Vol 1 is October and Vol 2 is December....
That’s terrible! The singles have all released in the USA, but the tpb of Vol. 1 doesn’t come out until September and Vol. 2 is also December for us.
@@starwarslads i cant even seem to find the single issues for sale here either
@@sike3000 That's weird. Maybe there are different publishing limitations with Dark Horse books in the UK? Have you gotten The Nameless Terror yet?
@@starwarslads it appears that releases 30th August

It's a shame they haven't tried THR, but hopefully that changes!
