Thanks Hildreth! I am purchasing this for my Gospel concerts. I am purchasing 3 pocket 6k cameras and 1 Ursa Mini Pro. I can hardly wait. Thanks for your video!
Hi there, thkans for the video, I have a question, in which output you have to connect the monitor to watch the commutation in the ccu between cameras??? I can't see that commutation ( preview) thanks!!
Hi, enjoyed your video very much. The spec. sheet on the Iris control section, it says "Iris control: Auto Iris On, Coarse control and Focus control" I do have compatible lenses but how do I control the focus?
Hi, I work for a local news channel where they have three Blackmagic Studio Cameras, one Blackmagic Studio Camera 2, all conected trough SDI to a ATEM 1 M/E Production Studio 4K switch, which uses the ATEM Switchers software. I recently got in charge of the production area, so I did a thorough review of all the equipment and functionality, and for some reason the Resolve wheels on the switcher software doesn't work, I don't know why, also, I don't find any video or white paper on how to connect the tally light and enable the talkback functionality, I guess another SDI cable is needed, which I tried to connect but got no positive results, only a locked iris while the SDI cable was connected. Can you please provide me with extra information this matters and point me in the right direction? I though a firmware update could be the issue, but I don't find any white paper or video online explaining how to check the firmware version and apply any new firmware in both, the cameras and the ATEM. Also, does this equipment have a license of DaVinci Resolve? Thank you in advance.
Under each SDI Input on the ATEM is an SDI Output for the corelating camera. Connect that Out to the SDI In of your Blackmagic Camera. Than make sure in the camera settings your camera ID is correlating to the input number of your ATEM and none of your other cameras connected has the same ID number. That should make everything work.
@@fightofdestiny Thank you, indeed, those cables were missing and almost a year ago, I realized there should be a returning cable, now even the color correction wheels work.
Yes this panel will work with any of the ATEM minis. Yes you can zoom, it’s not great but does work. Lens needs to be servo lens like the Canon CN-E 18-80, etc.
@@roycehildreth9786 great. I just picked up a servo lens for 3 of my BMPCC cameras. It was hard to find a MFT lens that has this available but was able to get it. When you say zoom isn’t great what do you mean? I was trying to accomplish the zoom with macros but doesn’t seem that there is a way to stop the zoom distance with macros only sped. I can’t figure it out at least. If you have any tips to accomplish this I’d appreciate it. (Problem: macro zoom on atem extreme, a way to stop the zoom at a certain level) Thanks.
Hi Royce, just a quick follow up on my above message. Im close to purchasing this camera control but wanting to be sure it can accomplish what we need before doing so. I read the entire manual and didnt see anything about zoom. Can you expand a bit more? Thanks
This ATEM Camera Control Panel communicates with cameras through one of Blackmagic ATEM Switchers (with a network connection). You can't connect cameras directly to the Control Panel. This is just for shading, coloring cameras and has no switching capability. You might be confusing this with ATEM Television Studio Pro 4K. Hope this helps!
@@roycehildreth I mean how to connect the camera's to the ATEM Switchers to control the camera. On Blackmagic Design's website it says I can use the Camera Control Panel to control the lens. I plan on hooking this up to a ATEM 4 M/E Broadcast studio 4K switcher.
@@xeckoplaysTF2K The ATEM switchers communicate with the Blackmagic cameras through one of the AUX SDI outputs. I personally connect Aux 6 to a SDI DA then out to cameras SDI input.

very useful info...cant wait on the "how to shade cameras tutorials" thanks
We are still waiting on your bmd camera shading video using the bmd rcp panel.
Great and Pretty informative.
Thank you for this. Although I managed to work much of it out over some hours, I hadn't landed some of the hold button down features.

if you still dont know, i just found out today how to do it so let me know!
Hey can you please tell me what output is needed
Any idea?
Hi i was wondering how to setup the preview button. Can your tell me how to do it?
Another thought that I just had.. is the atem extreme still needed to change which camera is active or can this panel do that as well?
how do you disable the preview button. it seems to be stuck on (illuminated)
Holding down the White Balance button should auto white balance... on mine it does, but immediately reverts back to last WB setting?

Will this Camera Control unit, using BM Broadcast cameras, function in with a tricaster TC 1 switcher?
No, this will only work with the ATEM switchers.
Great video!
How do you control lens focus using the ATEM Camera Control Panel?
Why gain can't be set on 8 or 10? 🤨
Can I use this with an atem extreme and control zoom of my bmpcc6k?

helpful video but grammar wise - It's 'an audio mixer' not 'a audio mixer' -
