That spectrometer looks pretty cool! I have been using an Opple Light Master 3 (ams OSRAM AS7262 sensor) to measure the CCT, CRI and delta u,v of various torches. There aren't a lot of options at this $50-100 price point for hobbyists.
Don't forget it was released from New Zealand so he probably released it at 12:18 am on Monday August 26 which is roughly 2:18 pm Sunday August 25 your time and around 5:18 AM Sunday August 25 on the west coast of Canada where I am located if I did my math right.
