I loved the part when they turned on the Nightlight after the DOORS were opened by their Weird Strict Dad in the Murder Mine and the Light Bulb broke leaving them in a Silent Dark all Alone with The Intruder which turned into a Residence Massacre
While nightlight isn’t the best horror game, it has become my guilty pleasure recently. I don’t like scary games because surprise surprise…they scare you, but one of the reasons I enjoyed nightlight was because of its moderately ease of gameplay. Collect the notes 3 times and exit. Not to mention it’s actually PRETTY difficult to win solo and I love the challenge. I don’t necessarily think having to find the notes 3 times is a big problem because this game encourages going fast anyways. There’s a whole speedrun section though other than that there’s not much reason to play the game again as like you said there’s no incentive to. No points system, just wins and a flex on how many notes you collected. Also side note that howling monster kills you if you aren’t hiding which literally ends your runs because the black monster can still teleport and attack you while you’re in the closet?? Idk why that’s even a thing
the funny part is when i played petapeta with no prior knowledge of what its about i expected it to be decent from the presentation in the beginning but then i quit when i realized it wanted me to do the same thing over and over again but with nightlight the game immediately tells you that the games gonna suck when it says collect notes that spell "selfish" 3 times LMFAO
most of the times when I died in this game were inexperienced teammates and us running out of matches in the second sequence lol also I'm pretty sure the third guy that appears in the third sequence doesn't even have a sort of mechanic, he just walks around the house and chases you when he sees you, so basically the closet is only useful when that guy is near
If only Beta the NIGHTLIGHT monster was covered with in a CHAIN with several ROSES and they were a RESIDENCE MASSACRE that leaves nothing behind but GUTS AND BLACKPOWDER, you would have loved this game WEIRD SUSSY BADIAN!
I was waiting for you to give your honest opinion on Nightlight! I have left few comments on the game's group even tho the devs seem to not care at all. I just find it annoying since it has many weird features such as the black guy being able to trespass the closet even if you got into it fast enough for him to not caught you. Otherwise, I don't have much more stuff to add since it's just the typical roblox slenderman bootleg, that somehow seems to work for the audience it wants to target. I tried playing with friends and it was kinda monotonous and boring, nothing changed, except the fact that it was only "funny" because of the fact that my friend didn't knew what to do at the very start of the game. Tbh the game falls victim to repetitiveness, with a lack of variety in gameplay mechanics. It seems like if the concept of the game was better developed it could have been something more acceptable. Continuing on my previous comments from your previous videos, the saga (DiRT: Colin McRae) has come to an end, after years of looking I’ve found everything I needed, got the game, I got the Xbox but the controller needed a battery cover as the one I was given had a rechargeable battery cover which had dead batteries that won’t hold charge in it. Previously my last update was that I still didn’t go and find the battery case however a few weeks ago I have, I found a place selling a knock off controller for only 10$ cheaper than the original, got it down to 23$ which sounds a lot but not in my currency, shop selling the original wouldn’t budge so I didn’t bother (original was 43$). While buying it he kept going on about how it’s impossible to find this in the market now and it’s his last piece etc etc, told him I found the original so no way he can’t find knockoffs or if anything he can import but it’s clear he just wanted to make excuses so I pay more, I told him that all I needed was the battery cover and he said he could sell me that for 8$, I said that’s too much and I’d just take this. I asked for warranty he said just come back no problem, while I was paying I realized the account I’m sending money to had the same name for the account where I bought the Xbox from, the one who actually gave me the controller that wasn’t functional because of the batteries, I asked if it’s the same place he said same account but different place name, I told him that I bought and he was like not my problem not my problem you have to go back to him, very very different tone but I wasn’t there to discuss anything other than buying the controller as I didn’t even have my Xbox remote with me to even give him, after I bought it he said I could’ve gotten the batter recharging case thing and he pointed behind me, that thing he pointed to was exactly what I had problems with, I told him that he said no no this one good. Asked for an invoice since this place I don’t trust anymore but he said no problem, I insisted so he wrote it down in his sales book and said that’s enough you’re on the record. Place was bigger than the one I bought the Xbox from but at the back he had a big table full of PlayStation controller parts and all gutted think he was salvaging or repairing things that’s why I asked if I can have a battery cover since it’s clear he’s throwing them away. Went home and decided to get some sleep before I start playing it since I might stay all night, woke up realized I don’t have any batteries for the controller, looked around and found a pair that still had charge (only took like an hour, was too lazy to get out and buy batteries or even order them). After that I put the CD in, launched it and started playing and after loading into a level I instantly noticed the awful 2 second input delay, at best 1.5 seconds but it was unbearable, not just that but also there was a pretty big dead zone for steering that was from the controller itself, it was annoying but u wanted to play so I just tried ignoring it, once I started playing the game and focusing on that only god damn it’s just as good as I remember it being, it was so fun and I started remembering parts of the levels before reaching them it felt so good, I kept going and unlocked like the first row of the game and then went to the second row of levels, started playing then I ran out of batteries, no problem it was the end of the day so I just bought batteries for tomorrow. Tomorrow comes I boot the game and then I realize that the level I’m playing was literally impossible with the input lag I’m experiencing, like unbelievable amount, I move the joystick and after 2 seconds it changes on the TV. I didn’t think much and switched the battery case to the original remote and tried using that, it reduced the delay by maybe a second or half a second, still unplayable. I didn’t want to return the controller because it was just too much work and I still want the battery cover, so I just kept it and used the battery cover on the other one, I was basically soft locked here because I can’t continue with this much input delay since it’s a rally stage that requires on the spot moves. Later that day I decided it’s time I actually clone the game, considering I could lose the Xbox any moment since it might die, don’t know if I’ve mentioned but the power supply sounded like s turbo jet when plugged in so I didn’t want to risk anything anymore, I took a usb and plugged it in, downloaded the game to it, and then went back to my pc and saved s copy of it, this way if anything happens I’ve got a physical and digital copy of it, I then w to install an emulator so I can just play it on my pc instead of using the Xbox, and with the new Xbox controller instead of the older one, I got it all working within about 10 minutes, it was already late but I wanted to try it out, ended up staying till like 4 am just doing “1 more game” and unlocked all the bottom row, 100% win rate but it was the easiest difficulty, I want to unlock everything on easy then everything on medium then everything on hard and then everything on expert, second day I unlocked second bottom row, third day the row above it, each row has less levels since it’s a pyramid shape, but I’ve been busy since then and I just got some more free time and I want to put as much as possible into this, I’ve unlocked I think 37% of the game so far. I’m so happy I hope I get to the stages I remember the most, as I mentioned it’s an emulator tho so there are some artifacts in only some levels, be close to unplayable in like 1 level I’ve encountered so far, hope nothing worse comes up. Also first upload of the year, full year with no uploads??? Talk about inconsistency… IM ONE TO STAy!!! And do you have a new editor or something because this video doesn’t feel like the other ones, just felt like put funny on screen (reference to video (word video is a reference to this video from breadian (reference to niche content creator breadian (reference to niche Roblox games))))
Okay when I first played nightlight I liked it a lot. I think I just like multiplayer horror games that make me jump. Some advice I’d have for the creator if you see this is make the monster more original- the noob is boring. Even having the same model with a different color could work. Also- make more backstory and have the words you spell out with the notes mean something. How did you end up there in the first place?

I had a vague interest in this game because the Noob monster resembled a similar Noob monster from a horror maze game called Retraced, which is also retro-styled because why not. Retraced was made before Weird Strict Dad, so I thought Nightlight was inspired by Retraced. Most of the gameplay looks like it doesn't really tell new players on how to play the game, which is something that plagues every new ROBLOX game under the sun nowadays. Also, the fact that my ROBLOX nickname is literally Beta made me confused while watching.
The game is just unfair, period. Call it a "skill issue", but let me tell you, ive tried and tried so many fucking times until i finally won out of shear luck. The shadow monster (AKA Midnight) makes Balloon Boy from FNAF 2 look like a fucking saint when you constantly have to deal with them blowing out your candle. Since matches dont respawn after a round, you better hope you havve enough matches already collected or are lucky enough to juke the monster. The pages are dumb too, it all goes swell until you realize youre now in a constant maxe, going around in circles finding the last page that is nowhere in sight. This game is a mess, a mess that is only fun for horror masochists that love to deal with the hell the game brings you. The game would be fair if they didnt spam the shadow monster left and right and actually made the game entertaining.

Most of the gameplay looks like it doesn't really tell new players on how to play the game, which is something that plagues every new ROBLOX game under the sun nowadays.

The game is just unfair, period. Call it a "skill issue", but let me tell you, ive tried and tried so many fucking times until i finally won out of shear luck. The shadow monster (AKA Midnight) makes Balloon Boy from FNAF 2 look like a fucking saint when you constantly have to deal with them blowing out your candle. Since matches dont respawn after a round, you better hope you havve enough matches already collected or are lucky enough to juke the monster. The pages are dumb too, it all goes swell until you realize youre now in a constant maxe, going around in circles finding the last page that is nowhere in sight. This game is a mess, a mess that is only fun for horror masochists that love to deal with the hell the game brings you. The game would be fair if they didnt spam the shadow monster left and right and actually made the game entertaining.
