Was obsessed with this movie as a kid and rented it on VHS all the time. It took what seemed like forever but finally own a copy. Awesome film. Gene Simmons plays such an awesome villain too 🤖 🕷️
This is one of the top 5 movies, that probably most influenced me when I was a kid. I remember my father had a Toshiba Color TV and a Betamax player (both things almost absolutely no one had in Cuba back then, and the Video players were illegal) I remember watching this movie about 4-5 years old and worrying so much about this tech, it kind of haunted me in dreams. Like Alien did.
@@ErnestoEduardoDobarganes I must admit it really bothered me as a kid as well. I watched horror from a young age, so I ended more intrigued than scared from it. Except for the 🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️ and the heat following bullets
So did I years ago, recorded off the TV. Watched it for the first time in years yesterday. It was ok, but didn't seem as good as I thought it was back then. Watched Blue Thunder the previous night, That movie has definitely aged a lot better.
@Bungle2010 I saw Blue Thunder when I was 8 in its initial theatrical release, and I still love it today. The acting, plotting, the chase scenes, the score...fantastic. One of the most perfect movies ever made.
The Detonics Speedmaster used by Tom Selleck was also used in T2 by Linda Hamilton who plays Sarah Connor...and it was asked to be custom made for Selleck as he was friends with the owner of Detonics
This was definitely a fun 80s film that made the rounds on HBO for years. Hasn’t really aged too well though, some of those robots were ridiculously bad, even for that time period. They must’ve had a very limited budget. Still a fun movie though.
I remember seeing the ending of this movie on HBO when I was a kid before The Terminator was about to come on, during the summer. Yes, still a fun movie
what the heck does this have to do with Kirstie Alley??? there was no mention of her name in this trailer for some B- movie??? She was on Cheers, she died , as we all eventually do, it's sad I guess but what's the deal?

Fast forward, it's all coming true with netanyahoo playing himself instead of doppelganger gene @ErnestoEduardoDobarganes
They anticipated the small drones!
Watched it so many times on VHS, over and over and over again. The creator is a prophet.

Childhood nightmares coming true with gene simmons' doppelganger running the usa from isra🤮
Best Trailer for Runaway. Rest in peace Kirstie Alley.
This film was a favorite of mine as it showed what the future might be like and it was pretty close to the mark...
I watched this so many times with my little sister on vhs. I think we broke the vhs tape. Lol!
What an underrated film. Maybe at the time it came out it was too implausible? But I think it is a great film and I always like Tom Selleck.

Good movie 📼
0:14 best cut in my opinion
and here we are!
The first drone ever
Nah man the first drone Prototype was from 1916 by Archibald low. In 1917 the first Real Drone was made by Max Boucher. But only for the Military.
Don't have to worry about bad dialogue if you can't hear the dialogue [ _taps side of forehead_ ]

@@anastasiamurawski6179 Because she was in this movie. And it was a good movie
@@InsideOutsider81 Ok thanks, I didn't see it yet.
RIP? Mas ela não estava no filme
They could remake this, I think it would be a hit
Why?
It wasn't a hit back in 1984.
It would wasnt surrogates closest and wait is that Tom selleck
des qu'il sortira au cinema j'irai le voir, la bande annonce donne envie
What’s the rating
Only in the 80s could a recently created PG-13 movie allow topless women and two F bombs.
God she was fit Thompson
Mahoney!
Duo explosivo cuando son la única forma de sobrevivir ante el malvado inventor
1:59 Brain damage
He wanted to save her, but he destroyed her.
Aaaaaand now I've seen the movie.
So futuristic! 😂
It was top technology what they thought would be futuristic, and they actually predicted drones and robots taking over jobs.
From the author of jurassic Park before he wrote it
And he wrote the original West World too.
