How to Sell on eBay in 2024 w/ eBay Insiders + Printify

    Wish I caught this live. I’m a top rated seller on eBay using printify to POD drop ship and have been trying to figure out what I can do to increase my sales. The eBay guy says product image is best on a white background with nothing else in the image but I’ve found that using a mock up image of the shirt on a model sells better as the main product image in my experience and also if I don’t watermark my product images with the watermark directly through the shirt designs I will generally have multiple people stealing my design and basically copy pasting my entire listing onto their own account. Even with the watermark this happens from time to time. Would love to have heard him explain on what can be done about that.

    I have my store on Ebay for almost six years and top rate sellers but I dont know if with printify I can lost my top rate seller.

    Sorry did I miss the coverage of the return policy, is there a time stamp you can share. I’m interested in this marketplace but don’t want to have to do returns unless an item is damaged. I can’t do buyers remorse / wrong size etc returns with pod. Thanks

      Hi there, We offer free reprints or refunds if the item is misprinted or damaged, but don't accept returns. Returns and exchanges are not supported if your customer ordered the wrong size, color, or simply changed their mind. However, in case of a damaged product or a manufacturing error, Printify offers a free replacement or a refund if you contact us within 30 days of product delivery.

    I’ll have to watch this again, after I’ve had more coffee. Missed the live stream due to an asthma attack-there’s a lot of info here! I signed up to see whether I should start out with my items on eBay or Etsy, and I had no idea all these features are in eBay. 🤔

    Sorry but what is a “free return”? Does that mean we the seller pay for return shipping to (printify? Our home/business)?

      Hi there! We don't accept returns of products, but in the case of damage, quality issues, or lost items, we offer free replacement or refunds if notified within 30 days of delivery.

    It's hard to get seen on Ebay without at least a 10 -15% promotion fee in many catagories. If you're seling POD, your margins are already small.

    was the ebay shipping terms ever addressed ??? i.e., allowing 2-3 or more days shipping while we're twiddling our thumbs for the POD suppliers to create the item? I have found mugs and stickers to take insanely long production times... Not sure if Ebay buyers will have the patience for these kind of wait times... Not to mention Ebay all but REQUIRES sellers to ship within 24 hours... Soooooo - sigh - shipping and returns are kind of not really conducive for Printify on Ebay IMO... oh well :(

    I still do not know what impact connecting printify has on my current listings shipping. I do not want to use policies. Can I avoid that when connecting?

For items published from Printify, the Print Provider's flat shipping rate will be automatically applied or you can choose to offer free shipping. help.printify.com/hc/en-us/articles/4483637044241-How-can-I-set-up-shipping-with-eBay-US. This shouldn't affect listings not pushed through Printify.

    Free returns? Printify only accepts returns for print quality issues or damage right? So how does this work?

      Yes - I agree this is an issue that is not conducive for POD suppliers - and Ebay --- Etsy is ideal because we can thrive there w/o any penalties for not allowing returns for customized items... Of course we would handle the one off situations accordingly...

      Hi there, We offer free reprints or refunds if the item is misprinted or damaged, but don't accept returns. Meaning the customer would keep the item regardless. If you as the merchant would like to allow returns (that is, the buyer would return the item to you, not Printify), that is allowed. Whatever you decide, just be sure to state it clearly in your policies. 🙂

    I recently created my account and posted my first design, which I can confirm does not infringe on any trademarks. However, to my surprise, my account was suspended within just 30 seconds 😂
    It appears that eBay has become more Aggressive in its actions.

    The tips on this video on how to write a title for a POD item on eBay are quite useless. The brand is pretty much irrelevant, most shirts are unisex, and there isn’t any one attribute such as size or color because we sell shirts in multiple colors and sizes. The main focus on pod products is the graphic on them.
