I was about to throw my new sewing machine out the window when I found your video. The instructions that came with the machine don't explain how to do either of the threading techniques very clearly and I was getting very frustrated. Thank you. I can now use my new sewing machine due to your very clear and thorough instruction video.
This was a wonderful tutorial on winding the bobbin! I can't believe the written instructions that come with the machine leave so many little, but crucial, details out!! So frustrating! Nowhere did the instructions say how much thread to wind on the bobbin or your tip to either cut the tail part of the thread partway through the winding or letting it break. I was holding onto that tail for dear life and wondering why it kept getting all twisted. Consequently, my bobbin was wound too loose and I kept having problems with it jamming the machine while sewing. There were other important details left out, too. One extra sentence here or there would go very far in reducing frustration for those who are completely new to sewing. Thank goodness for your video demos! Thank you!!!
Had this machine for almost two years and never really used it because it kept jamming. Thank you so much for this! I was inserting the bobbin wrong and now it’s working so smoothly. I’m glad I can see as much as I used to again💛
this was the best video to get started, i havent used a sewing machine in about 25 years & this was soooo helpful. every necessary detail was explained & shown & I was up & running from opening the box to sewing a test piece in no time. no floppy bobbin, no hairy nest at the back of the piece just perfect stitching. yay! Thank you :)
Hello 👋 new follower here...my sister and I just bought this sewing machine as our first one. I want to thank you for your video, they are super helpful. 💞
thank you so much! this is my first time using a sewing machine coming from hand sewing, you were very quick in explaining so i had to rewind a couple of times to follow but SO helpful!!! much appreciated!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! This is the best video for a new user. I had been using an old singer since 1975 ... decided I wanted something lighter in weight, and with a few "fancy" stitches but not complicated. The book and quick start that came with the machine did not clearly define all the steps. This video made it crystal clear!
I haven’t used a sewing machine in 30 years. I just got a 3223 and I can’t wait to use it after watching your video! I’m gonna have to check out the rest of your videos now 😃
This is the most helpful video for this machine. This is my first sewing machine and I was so confused and other videos really weren’t helping. Thanks!! ❤️
I saw this machine on sale but I do not know how it works so I check it in RUclips. Thankyou for sharing, I am considering to buy one soon. 😄 I subscribe for more.
I have just received my Singer Simple 3223 machine and i am looking forward to getting started and following these videos. Can someone please tell me what i need in order to begin sewing 🧵 please. Kind regards
Oh, thank you very much for this video, you saved my life, as my manual is in German! :) Greatly explained by someone with experience in sewing - simply excellent! Thanks a lot! :))
Thanks so much for this helpful video! I just bought this machine - it's been many moons since I've used a sewing machine but am excited to start relearning. It took me a few tries to get my machine threaded, but I tried it out a couple of times and I seem to have done it right. The stitching on the right side is fine but on the underside, the stitching is a TINY bit loose - no big loops or anything, just not as neat as the top side. How do I ensure that I get the thread in the tension discs properly? Could it be that I didn't thread the bobbin properly? Hmm
It was so helpful you should make more bobbin videos help other people. It really help me cause I have not had my sewing machine for long and I am still kinda learning. But I have an idea if you are looking for a project to do. And my idea is a dog blanket or just a blanket that is sewed together and you can just do on top of the seams to make it your own or you can make one of your own I don’t know how but that would be so cool to see and learn how to do it
hi,thanks for the video. what is the bobbin thing for? i just bought this machine and never ever used one in my entire life. it seems like the process after the bobbin thing would be just enough to sew things, i really dont know what the bobbin part does? does it sew in the lower part as well?
Thank you for your tutorials I watched them all very educational for a beginner like me and may I say very easy to understand and follow ...I purchased the Singer 2273 earlier this year and one of the reasons I chose it was the automatic needle threader..however I haven't been able to make it work for me so when I saw all your videos I thought well now I'll learn how to do it...but ofcourse the machine you demonstrationed was a manual threader...have you made a video to show me how to use the automatic threader please...Thanking you in anticipation....
It would be good to have a closure image when threading the spool around the machine, I've never used one before and as much as I sort of understand lifting the clockwise bit, do you lift both bits or does it go in the middle bit. Never sewed before, or done any of this, yay for the internet in helping although I personally need a bit of a close up to understand 100%
Update: with the help of a different video I got over the bit i was confused on and I've used the rest of your video with the help of the other one for close up bits I again got confused on, to complete my set up. Thank you :) complete bigginner here (litrally took it out the box today) is now ready to start practicing my new hobby.
Hello, I was wondering if it really is necessary to use the clear bobbin? Due to quarantine, I don't feel justified going out to buy a clear bobbin but I only have metal ones for my 3223 model :(
Hi mam...greetings from Philippines..My sewing machines is exactly same used in your tutorials..I am just wondering whenever I wind a bobbin the needle moves up and down despite I have moved my presser foot up
Could I be doing something incorrectly...when I wind the bobbin, I notice it starts out winding up and down evenly but then it winds up/down towards the bottom, making it "thicker" on one end of the bobbin than the other. Any suggestions? Thank you for your videos, btw!!!
What is the best brand of thread and what kind of thread to use? I have the cheap thread and it doesn't really work well. It keeps jamming. I'm a beginner by the way😁
If the thread on the bobbin isn't stuck and will unwind smoothly, then place the bobbin on the thread spool like it was a regular size spool of thread but be sure to place the smallest spool cap on it. Then thread the bobbin winding thread path as usual, making sure the bobbin winding tension disk is threaded correctly and get the thread fully seated in the tension disk. Use an empty bobbin to thread for bobbin winding and put it on the bobbin winding spindle as usual. Now, just wind the thread on the empty bobbin that's coming from the untidy bobbin (as long as the thread winds off the untidy bobbin freely and is not "stuck"). Be sure the thread is placed in the #1 thread guide and is wrapped around the tension disk properly and as you mentioned, spin the thread a bit slower.
What with the current need for masks, my granddaughter would love to make some, but needs help threading her Singer 3223. Any chance you could upload a video on that?
This was helpfull but im having trouble with the actual sewing itself. The stribgs and thread are tight and i know its threaded correctly, but thread gets tight, and i cant remove it with ease. I have to tug to get the peice i am sewing out

Same here!!! So thankful for this video🎉🥳
my instructions for this machine are in German (which I do NOT speak) so I was about to do the same thing as you were haha
I'm 60 years old, I've been playing the electric guitar for 2 years😂, I found the simple singer in the attic... You're a good teacher

What a lifesaver!!! I was struggling to thread my new machine .Thank you so very much for this tutorial.
Thank you! I watched 3 videos before finding yours and yours was the one to help fix my problem!
this was all so helpful, especially since I'm a beginner and I do have exactly that machine, thank you so much
I am so happy I found you. I just did a perfect stitch! Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for this tutorial! This was super helpful! :)
Do you have to have the needle down when you start sewing. I saw another video saying the needle has to be through the fabric?
This was a great help thank you!
What is the best brand of thread and what kind of thread to use? I have the cheap thread and it doesn't really work well. It keeps jamming. I'm a beginner by the way😁
At the beginning she says to get good quality thread- not Walmart thread or cheap thread from hand sewing kits.
Oh, and watch this video several times. It helped me a lot rewatching. Hope this helps.
@@Jin04115 Thank you. I've been watching her tutorial. It really helped me a lot.
Its a good video but i had to pause and rewind over and over because she went through the steps so fast
I still can't get it to work right I don't know what I'm doing wrong 😔
Thank you so much! This really helped
What can i do with the thread when threading the bobbing goes wrong? I think i spun the bobbin too fast and it is very untidy.

I have the same model but can I use #30 thread for this model? Or the heavy duty thread? Thanks.
I need to know how to gauge my machine for medium stitches?
Life saver 🥰😍🥰😍😍🥰😍
