That hug at the end between Wade and Lee, I’ve experienced one of those off Wade after a sweaty Cardiff gig. Gallows are one of the few bands that I can say that I love and that has never disappointed me live or on record.
Any Gallows fan that listened to them from the start would have loved to see this moment. Frank back with Gallows, They just haven't been the same since he left. When he came on the stage you could see the change of presence in the crowd. No matter what people say you can't get the same vibe that Frank produced when he was the singer. And to wade comment when no band is on person, this is a lie when it comes to gallows, When frank left, the vibe left it's just sad to see it but it has
That "vibe" your talking about is your interpretation and personal feelings on the subject not a fact. Alot of famous bands have lost their first singers and found bigger fame with their replacements e.g iron maiden and judas priest would be big examples of that. Not everyone gets drunk on nostalgia like you and this is not the first time people have gotten all rose rimmed glasses on a band when a member has left (And i have witnessed some pretty stupid examples).
ad1170 Frank was Gallows, he brought the band all the intensity and passion. I agree with you that in some bands the replacements have been better than the original. Black Flags for an example, I think we can all agree that Rollins became that band as soon as he replaced Morris. But with Gallows it is near impossible to replace Frank, as sad as that may be and I think time will agree that he was the best vocalist and frontman the band ever had. I think all Gallows fans who got to see Gallows with Frank leading it will agree.
I know no band is about one person... but holy hell the difference between a good band and a great band is lyrics. When Orchestra of Wolves came out and Frank screamed about broken teeth and sharks it was a breath of fresh air! He brough such a raw emotional savagery to an awesome band of musicians and it was magical! I hate to be a dick hole... but you know... their new stuff... well I've lost interest.
I don't think it's that wade is bad (I know you didn't say that) but I think it's just that frank was so good. He was the perfect frontman for a punk band.
you're full of fucking shit. a GREAT band is when a group of artists take what they do best, and make 1 solid piece of art. it ain't the fucking lyrics. it ain't the fucking guitars. you don't look at a painting and go "just this 1 brush stroke on the left side turns this from a good painting to a great painting". you lost interest. your fucking fault. that does NOT mean the band is not as good, or has less to say. Grey Britain was NOT a breath of fresh air. it was a sucker punch to the fucking gut. S/T was the blood you spit up after the 2nd kick when you're already down. they both breath smoke and smell of iron and sweat. they both hold up years later. they both have something to say. don't blame the artist for your fucking problems. either sit there jacking off to a laptop, or make your own fucking art.
kinda weird how Stu - not counting Lee, he's behind the drum kit and all - doesn't seem to acknowledge this spontaneous event. But on the other hand he just could've been focussed on his performance.
At Leeds Festival, he had just smashed up a guitar and thrown it into the pit, and wrecked all the mic stands. Then as he announced that they were gonna play this song, security came on and told them they had to stop. So fucking pissed I didn't see this one. Rest of the set was incredible though
Yup, which is pretty disrespectful as Gallows and frank parted ways amicably. Wade even adresses it, if I understood it correctly, that "no band is one fucking person"
this was a brilliant set and an even better moment when he came on!!! i had seen frank at the stage next to it!!! gallows are amazing!!! Frank Carter was amazing with pure love as well yesterday!!!
I thought frank was off cue for the howling part at first, but watching it a few more times, the whole lead up is more drawn out. In the studio version, the howl would be right when frank did it.
No band is one person? I beg to differ. Queen is not queen without Freddy. I could name a lot of bands, big and small, that are good because of one guy... gallows is definitely one.
First of all Queen fucking suck and second the other three were still fantastic musicians AND songwriters, so Queen is the worst example for your point.

Your misplaced rage makes you look like a fucking bender.
I love how Frank didn't try and make too much of a deal of jumping on the stage, blatently doing it for some fun. and didn't overstay his welcome.

stu's just too cool
So glad I saw this holy fuckkkkkkkkkkkkk
First time I'd watched Gallows at Reading Festival 2013 I thought they were awesome :)

were they screaming frank?

This was so fucking incredible, loved every fucking minute!!
They are the same band they were at the start. Lineup change has nothing to do with the raw power of gallows.
Wow!
magic moment
this was a brilliant set and an even better moment when he came on!!! i had seen frank at the stage next to it!!! gallows are amazing!!! Frank Carter was amazing with pure love as well yesterday!!!
So gutted to of missed this, FUCK!
Was the special moment Steve Sears on guitar? I think it was ;)
you couldn't be more wrong, he's straight edge.
He looked drunk AND he missed his cue on the howling!
what you think they rehearsed this? come on man its live
I thought frank was off cue for the howling part at first, but watching it a few more times, the whole lead up is more drawn out. In the studio version, the howl would be right when frank did it.
its just not the same
wade who?
weird that frank joins them on stage now that steph has left. conspiracy ? i think so :)
people change .
yeah its really really odd seeing him fat and old looking now. everyone gets older but he looks alot different to a couple of years back
