Wow! Beautiful work! I have A7SIII and want to move into macro shooting. Can you give advice on lighting, or if you used any modifiers on these shots (on the lights or Nauticam SMC or similar? Or were these all just using the 90mm through the flat port? So cool! (found this through your post on wetpixel). One other question, currently I only film as fast as 60p because I don't have a CFexpress card yet, do you use 120p much? Thank you!
Thanks for reaching out. For video I don't use the SMC, just the 90mm lens. I actually realized that the 50mm macro lens would probably work better for video in theory (still get 1:1 and the background movement should decrease). I used to shoot m4/3 and the 30mm would be way better for video than the 60mm with the same 1:1 ratio. All my shots are 60p, but 120p would make sense if you are getting too much motion. A v90 card should work for 4k 120p in 10 bit, although they just released a 1tb cfexpress that is a better value than getting 1tb worth of v90 cards.
amazing editing, nice shots
Thanks so much!!
