Cartridge Box Production - ASMR(ish) Follow up Video

Just a little follow up video on making my version of a re-useable Paper Cartridge Box. I went ahead and did a few things I talked about in the original video, such as setting of stops, fences and jigs to make producing a few of these boxes a little faster, easier and more consistent. They're still not an exact copy of what was used way back in the 1800s, but they're functional and re-useable.

Standard CW pistol cartridge box was supposed to carry three packages of cartridges. Have you test fit these into any pouch/box?

I have not. These were made according to some dimensions that were sent to me by an old west enthusiast. They are not meant to be 100% historically accurate, I wanted them to "look the part" and be reusable. Thanks for watching!

there are label/box printing programs that will allow you to print the labels on your computer (with or without folding lines). Might not be worth the trouble if you only make a couple... but if you ever plan to make several, it could save a lot of time. (Then again, that jig you made works great. Of course I had to comment before watching the whole video. lol.)

Other than that last little square of paper that I cut off in the end, there is no waste to speak of. I have a huge roll of that paper too.

I want to say 30lb??? I'm not sure, I picked up a 100' roll at Lowes a few years ago. It's used for masking and protecting surfaces. It's not the "Ramboard" though, that stuff is way too heavy.

The roll I bought works very well for the cartridge boxes and I also use it for holster patterns.

It was an online image, staples will make a custom stamp if you supply the image.
