Generally, yes! I’m not into fishing, but if I’m not mistaken, fishing line tends to stretch. If you’re using a Taut Line Hitch, it may not hold as well due to this stretch, which can defeat the purpose of a ‘taut’ line. The Trucker Hitch might work better for tension, but keep in mind that fishing line is quite thin, which can be tricky if you have larger fingers. And, since fishing line is also slippery, it’s a good idea to test your setup a few times, especially if you’re hanging anything delicate. Have you considered using a Prusik loop? You can make a loop, tie a Prusik knot with a toggle on the main line, and hang your light object on the toggle. This gives you easy adjustment along the line while keeping everything secure.
Excellent explanation and demonstration
@@aarondavis4825 thanks for your kind words 😄
Does any of these hitches works with a fishing line? I want to use it to hang light objects mid air.
I don't see why not!
Fishing line might have more resistance with these hitches though!
Practice with rope, and then try with the fishing line

@@garthatkinson4635 Agree! I’d definitely recommend testing it a few times just to make sure it stays secure. Thanks for adding that!
