So beautiful! Is there an odor to the resin?

No. I react badly to anything with an odor and this was fine. I would still ventilate the work area though.

random question here! I've been watching so many of your videos and you do such amazing work. I've been using watercolor pencils more often than watercolor paint as I find I like the control of the colors better, and when I started learning to do animal portraits I found your tutorials. How do you find watercolor pencils go on pastel paper? Do you have to prime it or do you just apply- I have mainly been using watercolor paper but I can never find tinted ones? I use the underpainting technique with watercolor pencils but not sure what to use for highlights when dry- do you prefer using regular colored pencils with a waxy base or pastel pencils? I also know pan pastels can be used on top of watercolor, but can it be used below watercolor as a base paint itself? thanks so much I hope this comment finds you!!

You’ve probably worked this out by now but I find pastelmat works well. Only use enough water to activate the pencil though.
