I studied at MIT(2015 pass out) and I can confirm whatever he said is correct. Drugs/Drinks are common everywhere. It totally depends on the students. MIT has a great alumni base, amazing college fests, a beautiful campus, and top-notch placement of course(I can say only for CS/IT/ECE). After these many years, I can still say that I spent my best years at this place. A proud MITian
I'm from manipal and don't miss a chance if you get to go there. You will enjoy every moment ,but you must have good self control. Ofcourse there is a lot of drugs since campus if too big but not Major problem,it happens in the dark
The fees is worth it. No Satya Nadellas(CEO Microsoft), Rajeev Suri and Vikas Khanna (Master chef) have emerged from VIT or KIT. Getting into this college is really worth it. You can acheive the big "Manipal Dream". Btw their new branch has opened in Bangalore too.. There are 5 branches (IT and Electronics). Drugs, party and stuff is your choice. Manipal doesnt force you. I had a superb experience in this college!!

Being a student of Manipal I would like to mention some info which I think is not correct 1- The total campus area of Manipal Univ is 600 acres . 2- The Placement part which you have shown is for 2019-20 , the current placement record is not released yet . But for 2020-2021 it was 8.8 lpa . 3- For 2021-2022 batch 35 students have been selected in Microsoft , the avg package for top 50 offers is around 40 lakhs , for top 250 offers it is 20.50 lakhs . The univ haven't released the current stats but seeing these numbers I think it is gonna be way better then last year . 4- I liked that you are bursting the myths about manipal regarding the drugs ,money and all, but the thumbnail you are putting seriously downgrade it's image. 5- The final thing which I feel is not correct is comparing it with Jaypee . In my opinion JIIT is below Manipal in everything except Fees But you know before Coming to Manipal I used to think that it has drugs all around the crowd is not good the placements are not good but my thinking changed when I came here because what I saw was completely different from what I heard .

It is not 2+2 it is 3+2 and you have to pay the fees of fourth year also although you will be in foreign university and also should pay the fees of foreign university. and will get MS degree from foreign university and BTech from MIT
