With the personalised number plates in WA they dont have to pay an annual fee for them. A fully personalised plate is around 300 dollars. Then the plate is yours for life. I suppose that's why they are more popular than other parts of australia.
Thanks for the nice video and some explanation about Kalgoorlie. I'm moving to Kalgoorlie next week. Can't imagine how my life is gonna look like cause it seems like very different from Perth, but also so exciting tho!😊
WA is gorgeous - Perth is one of the most relaxing places I've ever had the pleasure to live in. I've always got a soft spot for Darwin, but Perth is just lovely and you've got so many lovely places for weekends. Wave rock, the Pinnacles, Rotto, Jurien Bay. It's paradise.
Great video guys! Wish I had made it out there to see the rock and the pit. Oh and a personalized plate in WA is about $600 - at least that is what my dad had paid.
The personalised plates have gone up a bit here now, they start at about $550, but no annual fees. In the N.T. they are apparently only about $200 with no annual fees, and almost every second car has them! As for the "town" of broady, that was of the era when building materials were bloody expensive. When they moved, they would salvage the materials and take them too, anything left was pillaged. There are plenty of ghost towns around the goldfields, and nothing much left of most of them. I suppose a true sign of how tough those times were. Some wonderful history throughout the area though 👍
If ever you come back to Kal, I’ll take you down the wood lines. Fantastic history. And a great 4WD experience
No doubt about that town Kalgoorlie it will always have a hook on me I grew up there and they were the best years of my life beautiful video ❤️
After the brothel tour I didn't think you would be so impressed by the big hole
I miss my life as a miner in Kalgoorlie 😔

We thought that might have been the case, we were looking at getting one for our troopy but in NSW you need to pay an annual fee which is above $250
I've been in Kalgoorlie for 20 years.
Nothing wrong with it just some people. Glad you enjoy you travels

As a kalgoorlie boy im stoked u enjoy yaselves
Another great video. I love upload Monday. Happy Trails.
Mick Middle thanks for watching every Monday mate! We really appreciate the support.
Just been to broad arrow, had a broady burger yeah! Your tag on the tavern gutter pretty well faded away unfortunately
We will have to go back and go over it!
The 15000 people would have lived where the broadarrow pit is now, interesting to see where I live featured on an OLT video.
Liam Andrewartha ah that’s where then! I suppose they would have been pretty basic little dwellings as well.
@@OverlandTravellers yep! Certainly not 5 star living for miners back in the day.
Kalgoorlie is the place for me, Pubs, Brothel "cough" tour "cough", and more pubs.
hrsniperguy and don’t forget gold in the ground! Let’s go back in time to the 1800’s it would have been a hoot.
Tuffn up luv
Hooo wheee ... it looked like a chilly morning. Those can be the best though as the mornings are usually still.
Another good one guys. Cheers Steve
... GBAR mate!
Didn't know the goldfields were west of Perth!!
Sam c bloody hell did I say that 😂 hey who knows could be stacks of gold in the ocean
Pretty much sums up wave rock ha! "Wow, it's a wavy rock"
Ron F I love giving my viewers a visual experience with complex and diverse descriptors of the locations I go to.
Typical OT epicness, onya !
phrayzar cheers mate!

Nice one guys 👍😎
Keep it up beautiful places in Australia
Love the channel! So inspiring, I'm going on a week's trip at fraser end of this month
Brandon Morrisby mate you’ll have to tell me how it is! Pretty keen to take the ute there :)
@@OverlandTravellers Will do! Enjoy the rest of your trip
If you had continued on about 15-20 minutes from broad arrow you could have seen a massive proccessing plant owned by the chinese

you missed out on the broady burger! I used to go there years ago when I was an apprentice, we would ride up there on our motorbikes and get a burger!

"this episode we head west of perth" - that would be the ocean not the goldfields
Laurajanehahn yes we have been told roughly 780000 times. But I dare say there would be gold to the west under the sea 🤷🏽♂️
East of Perth . ;-)
When I went to Wave Rocka long time ago, I realised it was the subject of trick photography. It is about 1/3 the size of the photos.
Whats that ugly wall on the rock? Detracts form the natural beauty. They could at least make it look like rock.
GGFCHMMAL that’s exactly what we said. I think it’s to keep walkers safe.... but I think it would be better no walkers up top and no ugly wall 🤷🏽♂️
@@OverlandTravellers Yeah keep people off the top.
Water catchment in the old days
