  • Two years ago, I got Covid for the first time. It hit me like a zombie apocalypse freight train from hell, and there were moments I did not believe I was going to make it. I was in the ER multiple times, lost 15# and took me months to feel remotely normal again.
This was not fun, you can imagine, devastating tbt.
The good news, however, it that as dark as it can get, the light is always as strong, even stronger, and I had great spiritual understanding and profound awakenings as a result of my dance with that virus.
Empathy, compassion and grace all filled my days, realizing how much we as humans endure, and survive.
As I was recovering, my beloved oldest sister Tirza came to visit and looked after me for a week or so. She witnessed me in a suffering state and said 'Sing, Caitlin, Sing!', knowing that singing is one of the great medicines of my life and knowing that singing is a direct pathway to source.
So I sang. I channeled some kind of light language and as I sang I prayed. For my healing, for my soul to fully return to my body after a total take down, for the Soul beyond all physical form to fill us with its omnipresent light and truth. Something like that :)
Unbeknownst to me, my partner Alok recorded that moment of soul retrieval, and when I listened to it, I realized I wanted to create a track on my EP from that moment's deep prayer, and subsequent shift in my energy levels.
I brought a low fi hazy recording to my producer, and said, 'what can we do with this?' and he immediately heard it as a Middle Eastern track, so we set out to create this unique and exotic sound.
The lyrics are all about eternity, and all the ways in which we pray, always seeking greater connection and harmony with God, Spirit, the Universe, Source.
I am also a stand for women's wisdom, spiritual authority and empowerment, so as a part of this video I wanted to celebrate women of every color, culture and denomination I could from around the world, and demonstrate that all paths to God are valid, that all ways we pray, ultimately, are pathways to out own inner divinity and God source.
So without further ado, I bring you my newest video For Eternity, shot in the sacred Navajo lands of Monument Valley and the East Coast of Bali in the shadow of Mt. Agung, their most sacred mountain.
My partner Alok shot all the footage of me (he's talented, right?) and Jim Pavett of Allusion studios is the producer of the music and the video editor. He's a real gem, and it has been a real honor working with him.
Please like, comment, share and download my whole EP if you like what I'm putting down. open.spotify.c...
May all beings be happy, may all beings know God and pure radiant recovery and health to all who suffer in any way.
