Been thinking about this, but we don't give Russell's editor enough credit. And the sound designer. They do so much for this segment.
Great vid. But did anyone else pick up on the fact some of these kids were clearly anxious about their parents sharing photos of them on social media? In a sense, it's encouraging to know they're becoming more aware of the danger that poses, even if their parents are not. Educate yourselves and your kids on safety online! ❤️
It's because every year the schools they have assembly's about internet safety when it's not really dangerous if you know what you're doing and you take certain precautions
because school fearmongers children into thinking a photo on facebook would lead to someone finding them. very unlikely. very unnecessary. it’s sad
I've worked in education and I now work in a digital agency as a social media specialist. Trust me when I say the dangers are very much real. There are predators grooming children online as we speak. The fight to weed them out will continue without the cynics who question the dangers children face online. I sincerely believe everyone, regardless of profession, should undergo safeguarding training - perhaps it would open a few eyes to the reality of the situation.
