When I see the words 3000/GTO pop up I smash that like button! :) Hope you and your family/friends are all safe during this crazy time in the world. Glad to have your content to keep me busy in the mean time. Just washed, clay bar and waxed my GTO. Felt good!
Thanks joe, Another job i need to do. Replaced my antenna using your guide and unblocked the drain pipe. Found early stage rust in the boot corner so thanks Cameron
Thank you! I've got this annoying situation where sometimes the key works, sometime it don't. And other times it sets off the alarm.... Its summer now so I need to look into this. This video helps so much. Haven't seen anyone take a 3S door lock cylinder apart before. Cheers eh!
Hello Joe. I never knew this about Graphite Powder. Makes sense, it would basically act like micro bearings between the pins and the wall it rests in. Thanks for the great tricks.
I have 3 gen2 locks, all rock solid, two of them was allready broken. These seems to be somekind of poor toy metal, and get very easily oxidixed. I also have a couple of gen1 locks, and they seems to be much better.
Hello sir. I am having an issue where my drivers door lock only works with a key when the door is open. When i lock then try to unlock my door with the door closed, it doesn’t unlock, but stops turning half way.
Are they frozen with ice or seized with corrosion? If they are seized, you can remove them as shown in my video and then soak them in penetrating oil to free them up. You then go to a mitsubishi dealership with your vin number and they will get you new keys.
Both locks are frozen with corrosion I still have the keys, just though that I could avoid taking the locks apart like in your video and having to mess with all those little bits.
You could try soaking the locks in penetrating oil until washed out. Then wash out the oil with brake cleaner. Then use the graphite powder. It may work. Better to do the job properly though.
Thanks a lot I will try soaking when I get the lock🤞🏽 Do you have a video on video on how to Depin the driverside door pigtail harness wires? A few of mine are broken affecting the locks and windows from operating.

Great video! Thanks! Your lock appears to be in quite nice condition, mine was "rock solid".
Do you manage to get the lock working again?

Hello sir. I am having an issue where my drivers door lock only works with a key when the door is open. When i lock then try to unlock my door with the door closed, it doesn’t unlock, but stops turning half way.
I removed lock on mine and took to a lock smith and he said the lock wasn't the problem...the key was worn and he cut a new key to factory specs.
I have a 1998 sl and my locks are frozen solid I would like two working locks and keys to replace or fix mine any suggestions.
Great video sir!

My lock seems to rattle while I’m driving any tips on how to quiet the noise?
I have never heard of this before. You will need to find why it is loose in order to solve the problem.
Where are you located out of curiosity?
Wondering if I can send you parts to repair
It depends on where you are and what you want to send. Please contact me by private message on the forum.
