How to add wireless charging to a stock Samsung Galaxy S5 for just $10

- The Samsung Galaxy S5 does not, sadly, come with wireless charging out of the box. But for just a few dollars, you can (unofficially) add some Qi charging. But along with that comes a big of a side effect - not the least is that you're probably playing with your warranty with this one. Use at your own risk.

I use one very similar on my Note 3, it's even thinner than the one just shown. No bulge at all, works flawlessly and have had it for a few months. Love it.

Wouldn't the bulge interfere with the rubber seals on the back cover to keep it water tight? Extra pressure could pop the seals open where water could get in.. 10 bucks could cost you a new device
Agree. Use with caution. (Or not at all.)
I don't see the rubber seal to protect from dropping it in water, being a priority. First if you're phone is submerged in water, the rubber seals aren't going to be much protection for water to get in. Second, maybe an overriding priority is to have contact charging, and this would be a great trade off? Also the rubber seals are at the edge where the back "clamps to the phone" and the charging device is in the middle so maybe the rubber seals are still making contact?

I got an Samsung charger pad and a qi receiver. Do I need a wireless S cover for it to work as well?

I'm having trouble finding the type from the video. All the ones I find plug into the USB plug, which does me no good, considering the USB port on my phone is trashed. I've searched eBay, guess I'll check Amazon now. If anyone wants to steer me in the correct direction, I'd greatly appreciate the assistance. I also greatly appreciate the video. Thank you.
Yes. That bulge makes water leak inside the phone, regardless that it looks well secured. Its better to buy the official backs
They also block NFC, the charge coil blocks the NFC antenna built into the battery :(

Will this charge my battery if my charging port is broke?
I installed same wireless receiver 1000 ma on my Galaxy S5. When I using wireless charging my phone get very hot, also when phone charged 100% it never turn off automatic.

The one from fonesalesman is much better because of its thinness, the good quality and the NFC capability.

@James they do it to iphone and it doesn't have removable battery too , search the RUclips there is some one from Canada do it in china
