Zoé Samudzi will discuss her conception of anarchism informed by black feminism that critically locates the subjugation of black womanhood as central to capitalist state formation.
Zoé Samudzi is a PhD student in Sociology at the University of California, San Francisco, passionately writing about race and gender hegemony. She is a queer black woman whose work is dedicated to reclaiming and reframing narratives both within the academy and outside of it. Wielding black feminist & womanist epistemologies, she interrogates structural whiteness and theorizes on decolonizing ways of knowing and truth-telling.

Im a white dude, and an anarchist. And a lot of my disappointment with the anarchist movement in the U.S. and Europe is how many of the organizations look like me. Anarchism is the abolotion of unjust hierarchies, and im glad to see people who dont look like me hold us to account for our failure to address the hierarchies we impose upon the struggle. Please continue to hold us accountable, your efforts are appreciated more than you could ever imagine.

Hey hang in there! I found anarchism/feminism when I was 14, and the terminology can feel dense sometimes...if ya want, check out KAR or Saint Andrewism for some videos that I think intentionally avoid using jargon.
      ¡Salud!

This is the way, I promise you. Follow your heart and you will find these principles benefit all people and can free us from the global system that binds.

She’s brilliant and I’m glad that she’s speaking up. After going through a traumatic experience and seeing the response of the police, I felt the need to speak out and learn more about my very own circumstance. I’m very glad that people like this young woman exists. Even if my story is never heard, I know that they’re restless souls like her, that won’t rest until justice brings peace.

Hi, I'm trying to organize for an Anarchist Bookfair in Arkansas in the Black community and I'm trying to figure out the average costs to prepare for it.

Hi there! The collective hasn't shared with me the cost, but I know a lot of it was made possible by the networks they had built beforehand. Sorry I can't be of more help!

I am currently in a hospital and have never posted a comment on RUclips in my life. I was initially very interested in listening to what this fellow human being might have to say. But after 16 minutes of listening I am practically moved to tears with disappointment, not with the speaker nor her concerns nor statistics, but how certain Anarchist concepts have failed to be introduced to aspects of society more in need of it. My understanding of A/anarchism (Trying to bring spirituality and a
Laic Buddhism as well) is one in which the MOST COMMON DENOMINATOR, our shared sense of human compassion for one another, transcends even group identities, not that they don’t have value of course.
A simple question, can any fellow human being satisfactorily define a race at the genetic level? I will not suggest gender follow the same stringency though even THAT has its interesting points.
Is it POSSIBLE to consider that race identity is a socioeconomic concept introduced ploy introduced during The Slave Trade to create an in group/out group identity to rationalize economic and human exploitation by dividing humanity to this day.
CAN this endearing person”s concerns be addressed without at least the use of race? Out of loving kindness I would ask Zoe to give these questions their due consideration. I would posit that they could but that is for you and others to decide as well.
Anarchists are good people. We don’t always live up to our principles but we try. Zoe, help bring all of us to a deeper sense of common belonging. We still have the greater challenge of showing that are exploiters are good people who suffer from greater dillusions still.
