Hi Juwonee! Choir here. Yes! Nagbabago yung tono ng songs depending on the liturgical calendar. We're in advent now so the songs are a lot more festive in preparation for Christmas. Idk if you've noticed from your previous experience sa misa, but during holy week, the songs sound more sad to reflect the season.

Because of the commercialization of Christmas, it's easy to forget the REAL reason for the season. Bonus lang that we received the miracle of healing that we have been praying for. Thank you, Lord! Hope you will go to mass again soon! BTW, I know the "I cant explain feeling" Going to mass gives me peace that I cannot explain--even on days that I am not enthusiastic to go initially. Misa de Gallo or simbang gabi is a really unique Filipino tradition. Here in the Seattle area, some catholic churches have adopted it. It's something special that just like you said, "masarap na feeling" 😊. Hopefully, this is something that you can share with your kids in the future if you decide to stay there in Korea.
Yung mga melody ng mga songs ay nagbabago depende sa panahon. Like ngayon (adbiento or advent) means pagdating ni Jesus or pagreaready sa pasko. Kaya nag-iba yung mga melody ng song. 😊
Nagbabago po talaga toni ng Ama Namin, Kordero at Hosana depende sa season. Pag Pasko, since birth of Christ, mas joyful ang Ama Namin, Kordero, bumagal man pero mas jolly yung notes. Pag normal seasons, back to normal yung tono, tapos mababago ulit pagdating ng Holy Week (depende na lang din po minsan sa Diocese) same as sa Hosana. Though may times na iba yung tono ng ibang Diocese from another Diocese on normal days.
When we lived in San Diego, California, we attended Simbang Gabi for 9 consecutive days at 5:00 in the morning talaga! Meron din puto bumbong sa San Diego - para ngang nasa Pinas ka, eh! I'm glad you had a great Simbang Gabi experience in church. Merry Christmas!

Nagbabago po talaga toni ng Ama Namin, Kordero at Hosana depende sa season. Pag Pasko, since birth of Christ, mas joyful ang Ama Namin, Kordero, bumagal man pero mas jolly yung notes. Pag normal seasons, back to normal yung tono, tapos mababago ulit pagdating ng Holy Week (depende na lang din po minsan sa Diocese) same as sa Hosana. Though may times na iba yung tono ng ibang Diocese from another Diocese on normal days.

Kordero is usually mabagal talaga dapat... mas solemn sya kaysa yung pag-awit ng Panginoon, Maawa Ka (ang context is napatawad ka na kasi nun, general absolution, kaya mas alive sana yun...) . Ang Ama Namin naman uhm okay lang mejo mabilis basta di rak en rol hehe.
