Belfast City Centre is a bloody chopping block. There's so many lanes and streets, so many close calls and near misses, it's just a horrendous maze covered with tall buildings just to get to City Hall.
Have a look at the wrong side of the road double-parking on the Ormeau Road, Belfast. I have been involved taking care of people injured on two occasions by cars U turning after parking like this. Crossing the line of traffic to park on the wrong side is both dangerous and an offence. Both the police and the traffic wardens have no interest and refuse to act when asked. Often vehicles are to be found parked on the chevrons at the crossings and the drop pavements are blocked for wheelchairs and the blind.
