Thanks for this great video. I just installed my drive train as per instructions, all worked OK. Running it on a fat bike with electric mid drive motor so some usual chainline challenges/limitations but the kit will do the job. Surprisingly good gear, on initial impression, given the cost. Cheers.

Installed Acolyte on my commuter today. Very nice to set up. I'll admit to it feeling a little clunky compared to the 11spd SLX on my MTB, but it's hard to be critical given the price. Very helpful video too . Cheers!

FYI Acolyte works with 10 & 11 speed shifters up to 48T. I'm using it on a 10 speed Advent X 11-48T cassette with the Advent Pro shifter. Microshift uses the same pull ratio on Acolyte, Advent and Advent X

Why are these amazing products not in India? 🤔

Thanks so much for this video. I just used it to install this groupset on a GT Tequesta. Does the trigger on your shifter have a lot of up and down play? Mine seems to wiggle around a lot.

Some wiggle is OK. If it gets in the way of the function of the shifter, it's not OK.

I wish the video showed how to use the included b-gap tool

Thank you for the thought! Proper b-gap tool instruction is available in the Acolyte manual found under tech documents at microshift.com

@@microSHIFTTECH quick question. So is there no covering for the cable port. so it's just open? I have this group on order and I'm just getting a grip on what it takes for shift cable replace. thanks.

Im sure I missed something, but even with the B tension screw bottomed out, I’m still not clearing the 46t cog, much less getting the proper spacing. Any advice?

Nine times out of ten this is due to a problem with chain length. The upper guide pulley is eccentric, so as the cage extends the pulley moves away from the cassette. If the chain is too long, the cage won't extend enough and the guide pulley will be too close to the cassette. If that's not your problem, I would submit a service ticket on the microSHIFT website and we can look into it further.

Test it with a uncut chain in place. I tried pushing an acolyte derailleur without one and it kept hitting the third largest cog on a 11-48 advent x cassette. The derailleur should be able to handle up to 46 tooth, but could only go to 36 when pushing by hand with no chain.

the chain sizing section of this video is different to the install pdf for acolyte on the microshift website so what is correct.....

It is a little confusing, because the visuals are slightly different between video and written manual, but the directions are the same: from where the chain overlaps, add two inner links. In another comment, you said you ran out of adjustment range on the B screw. If that's the case, your chain might be too long. If you get in touch with our customer service folks at service@microshift.com, they can help you get to the bottom of it.

Dude thanks for reply...i used park tool 1x instructions instead and sorted the problem....the grey area is interpretation of what is a link....the chain length was way too long following the instructions from the video...
