so dont high end drones make this obsolete in 2017?

othelo989 drones are limited to Battery and weight limitations. This can be setup and left onset all day, where as a drone has to be taken off and landed every time. Also this is far more reliable in holding equipment, compared to a drone which can crash

Nope, for one it's not a "drone" it's a fad quadcopter, secondly those stopped being a fad after 2014, third long before they were even a fad using RC helicopters with camera gimbals has gone back to the 1990s with much superior single rotor helis like the TRex 450 and 600. The only thing obsolete is your clueless commercially programmed non-thinking brain.
They're incapable of matching the smoothness and precision of a real crane and it really tells in the footage. Great option for budget youtube vlogs but if you're a real production company making footage that people actually want to buy and can swing the money, you do.

No, drones are louder and in most countries not permitted to fly over people. With a Technocrane you can go from inches from an actor to 60-70 feet high in a single shot

even in 2023 these are still very relevant and used often on film sets all over the world, varrying sizes and mounting options of course :)
