Browning meat before adding water brings out the flavor for the soup. Tendons, tissues and gristle are not tender and really not edible for most people. You can chew until the cows come home but you cannot break them apart and are hard to digest. Not suitable for children especially. Color of white beef soup doesn't look good.
Why feed the family that tough chewy gristle and tendons off the bones? Its full of fat 😝 You have perfectly lean beef for the soup. Its one thing to use the bones for adding flavor to your soup base but i that gristle and tendons isn't at all healthy. But hey to each their own 🤷
Tendon is quite low in fat and very high in protein: 100 gram serving has half a gram of fat and 36.7 grams of protein. Gristle has alot of collagen and It’s one of the major building blocks of bones, skin, and muscle. Feel free to do the research before saying something is not healthy.... Respectfully

The child has been allowed to develop the habit of not sitting and staying place, during meals. Mealtime and playtime are different. I think, they think it is cute, because she is a toddler. Mei Mei should have stayed in her highchair longer. Then, she would've observed how everyone should behave at the table. They sit and eat. Plus, she should have been placed beside her mother. Toddlers will occasionally want to play, but the parents must insist they sit and eat. At least, three adults are watching her do this at most meals and it is not corrected.

看了很多留言發現很多人很小心眼，其實小九也很用心，知道公公回來吃飯特意煮牛肉，其實讚的，也很考順，但總會有人說平時也會煮，說這樣那樣的留言😂😂
其次婆婆公公幫手照顧小朋友就說為什麼不自己照顧，其實很多老人家喜歡照顧小朋友的啦，有些更喜歡搶著要做...小九每天要照顧小孩子又要忙煮飯，也是辛苦的，為什麼就沒有人說老公為什麼都不幫忙？不請工人幫肋婆婆和老婆。
還有很多人留意小九衣著外型，其實一個農村地方要忙照顧三個小朋友沒工人又要拍片養家要煮菜等等其實可以有睡眠時間已經很幸福，我相反覺得他們比市區的人更真實。有時候多包容社會會更快樂。

覺得他們的飲食文化停留在六、 七十年代，野味紅肉，來者不拒，只怕沒有東西吃，高脂 高鹽煮食，還有什麼養生觀念。
牛肉煮任何瓜湯總好過加芽菜去煮啊，芽菜性質是 "寒濕" 之食物，我們這裡多數用來炒麵、炒米粉 河粉之類，我曾在外邊吃湯米粉加了一些芽菜在湯內，吃了令我肚痛。
不太了解福建是否流行煮芽菜湯，若是孝敬辛勞的公公難得回家吃飯，香港人重視煲一大鍋的老火湯，對公公婆婆這個年紀最適合最有益處。煲老火湯給家人喝也代表窩心的關懷。
