@Lowell Parker well he shouldve picked Piplup because of the type matchups and he used a bunch of low PP moves in exchange for a little more power
@Lowell Parker also he didnt know that aqua jet was a priority move, not cause the pokemon was faster
Lowell Parker plus he didnt know a lot of the typings lol
@Lowell Parker Also thought that close combat lowered his attack. It doesn't, it lowers defenses.
Lowell Parker also didn't know that Vespiqueen had Pressure, and that Pressure reduces an extra PP from moves used
I always did this, I was kinda stupid and I remember in Platinum I just had my lvl 100 Empoleon spam it's way through the elite 4 with Surf.

Oh yes. The Totodile line was strong as hell throughout the entirety of my HeartGold playthrough. I think the part I differ from you is that I play the games to complete them. The most satisfaction I get is when I finally see those end credits, because it tells me I’ve finally won. The only other thing I really enjoy in the games is when something happens that I didn’t expect, which is a lot, seeing as Pokémon isn’t exactly the hardest series to predict.
Getting my ass handed to me is also fun. It shows that my predictions were wrong.

#OverLeveledStarterGang
AMereMareep 03 you guaranteed healed it though and all you who are saying he healed it he didn’t literally rewatch the video I’ve seen it 6 times he didn’t heal anything
Actually, we didn't make it when we were kid: we had our HM slaves to respawn our starter.
Ayzent Ayzenty THATS exactly what he did
Hansen Horst NO HE DIDNT HEAL HIS INFERNAPE ONCE he legit let his rival finish and let his hm slaves die plus through the elite 4 they weren’t even on his team
Why did he worry so much about not having enough moves against the elite four when theres plenty of elixirs and leppa berries across the Sinnoh region
leppa berry is random when used by the pokemon though, and if he uses leppa berry himself he'll lose a turn
@@lillyie outside of battle you can use them
Ya I’m doing this same thing and what I did was just get one leppa berry and use growth mulch wh n plating it and got five berries plated four more with mulch and have 21 like bru
If you didn't see he had 61 elixirs when he went to go use one.
@@stuartjacques2791 That was a hyper potion. Getting 61 elixirs before the elite four isn't possible anyways.
- Pressure causes you use two PP per move use instead of one.
- Bastiodon is 4x weak to fighting and ground type moves so it really shouldn't have been much of a challenge to fight at all.
- Solar Beam absolutely stinks as a move without sun out, especially for something as frail as Infernape. Should've used Grass Knot for more reliable damage since on average it'll likely be at 60 or 80 damage.
- Fire Blast is alright but similarly to Solar Beam, it's not very reliable since there's a 15% chance of you missing your target. Flamethrower has more PP, 100% accuracy and very solid damage before and after STAB.
- Floatzel wasn't faster since it was underleveled. It hit with Aqua Jet because it's a priority move.
- Close Combat lowers physical and special defense by one stage after you use it. It says it when you look at the move and even after you've used it so I have no clue as to how you could get that mixed up.
- How did you not pick up any Elixirs or more Ethers?
- I don't mean to be that guy but this is hardly a challenge. Infernape has good speed and good physical and special attack stats. It's able to hit almost everything in gen 4 for super effective or neutral damage and defeating the Elite Four with pretty much *any* pokémon at level 92 is a guarantee. You outspeed everything and your attack stats are through the roof, plus, despite Infernape's poor defenses, it can take a hit from other pokémon since it's grossly overleveled at this point.
[Ecchi] even though float Eli was under leveled it probably would have been faster anyway. It has really high speed + infernape’s speed was lowered by mudshot
Don't need to be "that guy". I'm pretty, pretty sure that every starter can do this, even something like Meganium, since it will just funnel all the exp for itself
@@cenachi You're right. It's just that in this case, Infernape is probably the starter you'll have the easiest time running through the game with due to its insane movepool and offensive stats.
Eufamis nope, Infernape is the fastest Pokémon in Gen 4, even if it’s speed was lowered it was still faster than Floatzel. Aqua Jet was just a priority move
@@justinhamilton8647 You should probably check up on that first, my guy. Even if you only look at pokemon that were introduced in gen 4, Infernape is in fact not the fastest. Its base speed clocks in at 108. It gets outsped by Froslass (110), Purugly (112), Azelf, Ambipom *and* Floatzel (base 115) (plus Arceus, Weavile and Darkrai). Don't spread misinformation. Infernape is fast but not *that* fast.
I can't get enough of this video even 2 years after.
The part showing the Flint battle with Queen playing always cracks me up. 😂

@@Shark-gj4yr I'm almost positive he is still weak to rock
@@djhooker8782 Well too bad, you're wrong, he's neutral to rock so it won't do as much damage as if he were a Chimchar.
@@Shark-gj4yr sorry, didnt realise that fighting resist rock, thought I remembered still taking super affective damage to rocks
Floatzel was not faster. Aqua jet just has priority
Well floatzel just has higher base speed but it used priority so whatever
Neil MacAdam His infernape was a way higher level
Raj Chow true
Raj Chow but honestly I can see a flotzel out speeding that infernape because one time I had a level 49 flotezel (306 speed) that out sped Cynthia’s garchomp and I didn’t iv train
@@Miami2514 IV's (internal values) are inherited through breeding. You can train EV's (Effort Values). Furthermore Garchomps Base Speed is at 102 (i believe) while Floatzel is at 115. That is a big difference in base speed. While Floatzel does have a higher base speed stat than Infernapes 108 it is unlikely that this would account for a roughly 10 level disadvantage. Also even if you didn't focus your EV Training you're bound to get some speed EV's here and there. Since NPC's are (as far as i am aware) neither carrying Pokémon with IV nor EV's its more than likely that Floatzel has an easy time outspeeding most of the game. (Disregarding Natures)

KoopaWars S you realize at the time your comment was typed the video was 6 months old and most of what he said is correct besides the aqua jet thing and using solar beam but he explained why he’s wrong on solar beam to address everything else eq while being his best move is his weakest the attack and defense thing I’m sure was a mistake and people say he should choose piplup Well he shouldn’t it has little to cover its weaknesses it loses its resistance to fire while he shouldn’t have chose infernape turtwig would’ve been the best choice it has a ground typing meaning it has access to ground moves such as eq it has multiple grass type moves and has a resistance or a move for every gym leader and Cynthia is the only thing that would’ve given him trouble also if you want to know the challenging part of the entire video GEN 4 HEALTH BARS GO DOWN SO FUCKING SLOW ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY

The Video is really good, i just wish you knew Pokemon a little more.
Vespiquen had Pressure, which ate another Fire Blast usage, Close Combat doesn't lower your Attack, it lowers Defense and Sp.Def by one stage, and i know you corrected it, but Grass Knot is a way better move than Solarbeam in most cases.
Also Bronzong and Togekiss are not weak to Fighting-type mpves because their secondary type resists it thus making them neutral.
There were quite a few of these mistakes in this video.
Solar beam is a bad move in almost all cases, even on grass pokemons, the only pokemons that can really benefit from this move are pokemons that have drought as an ability like ninetails, charizard y, groudon and others
