When I was preparing for my trip from NYC to Seoul, your video was one of the first I looked at so I could see what I was getting into. It was helpful and I had a positive experience as you did!! 😊 I hope to fly with Korean Air again, especially on another trip to Korea.
It’s just makes the long haul experience much better. I agree. It should be industry standard at least for long haul. I see on Qatar and Emirates, their 777-300ER configuration is 3-4-3, which is just awful on +9 hour flights.
Great video the omelette and potatoes might of been dry but sitting in coach it's amazing. That would of been a first class meal on american or delta. I flew Korean from Incheon to Honolulu and it was amazing. Certainly deserve there 5 star rating unlike some european carriers. IE. Lufthansa!
Agreed!!! I can’t complain. KE portion in economy is almost the same as in US carrier first class. Hahaha that is true. I remember Lufthansa literally served just lettuce leaves in their salad course from Frankfurt to JFK.
I've been searching on youtube for the Korean air carry on luggage's measurements but I couldn't find one. What was your carry on luggage measurements when you traveled? I'm traveling to Asia next year I just don't want to be charged extra fees if I can avoid it.
There are two versions of this B777-3B5er 2-3-2 Prestige Class and the 2-2-2 prestige class seats. In economy class most Korean Air planes are equipped with power plugs except for B737-900 Cseries A220 which do not have them. Yours might be the newer 2-2-2 version. I would have done the trip again in Prestige class which I enjoyed flying on this route although in the older PW4090 B777-2B5er
Hi there! This is what I found on Korean Airport website: Checked bag가능 (Non-flammable aerosols are limited to a total volume of up to 2 L (2 kg)-up to 500 ml (500 g) per container-according to the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.)
I saw in the map that you were going to fly over the artic, later in the video, why did I see you over Alaska rather than the artic ocean. Did the plane change directions or something?
Oh not at all. I remember when I flew ANA a long time ago, I had to pay for midnight snacks. But, all the meals, drinks, and midnight snacks on Korean Air were free.
@@TipsyFlyer Well, the midnight snacks that they put out on the table tops where the crew prepare food was free when I free ANA back in 2017. Perhaps other more upgraded snacks might cost more.
Hi! I understand your concern. The lavatory traffic can get a tad annoying after the meal service and before landing. But, I prefer a 2 seat row over 3. Plus, we were wearing mask at that time. The smell wasn’t noticeable.
wait…i recently did this route and they replaced the b747 with a boeing triple 7 ?? that is so sad, because the boeing 747-8 its an awesome plane to fly on with its 368 seats and stuff 😅
Not sad at all. Korean Air's 777-300ER in the international layout is 3-3-3 in economy so you get 33-34 inches of pitch and 18.1" of width. Their 747-8 squeezes in an extra seat for 3-4-3 so while the seat is still the same pitch, the width drops to 17.2"
@@Lucky8s , that's actually not true. The 748 does not "squeeze" in an extra seat. The 748's cabin is wider than the 777's cabin, so although there are 10 seats across in the 747s, they have the same seat width of 18 inches. Where you can talk about "squeezing" in an extra seat would be the other airlines operating 777s in 10-across. THEN....the seat width goes from 18 inches to 17 inches.
Korean Air just recently started rolling out inflight Wi-Fi on their 737 flight. So, no Wi-Fi yet on 777 long fail flights. But, that’s very exciting! I’m sure you’ll have an enjoyable flight regardless.
Hi, I have an international flight with Korean Air soon. Do they weight personal item with your carry-on? I just wanna ensure to pack for family gifts. Thank you!
Thank you! What a relief! I’ll be flying from SEA to SGN, transit in ICN. When I booked the flight with Delta, I didn’t think too much. Now it’s closer to my flight and I’m freaking out since Korean Air states on their website to have the combination weight of personal item and carry-on not exceeding 23lbs. My checked bags are completely packed with gifts.. I’m very thankful for your response. Thanks again.
I helped you with the female voice on the safety video it's the K-pop idol Kwon Boa SM Entertainment. If you went Korean entertainment option you should be able to finish a K-Drama on the plane. Next to your B777-3B5/ER it's Korean Air rival on Philippines to South Korea market Philippine Airlines B777-3F6/ER or A350-941 PR127 JFK-MNL. If they had you board through Prestige class there are two versions suites 2-2-2 or sleeper 2-3-2. Towards MNL & CEB from JFK its actually KE Prestige Class > PR Mabuhay Class service.
Hey our South Korean sister relative Ayesha Abdul Basit what can be done about our South Korean genetic heritage brother Mohammed Mahfuz - Ul- Haq Robin?
Delta flights from USA to Asia operated by Korean air 😢. Delta should offer discounts if operated by Korean air. Meals, their airplanes and services are downgraded. Also the temperature on board is too warm. I miss delta's meals, airplanes and in-flight services.
I booked through Delta (operated by Korean Air) and flew to Seoul. Maybe you could do JFK-ATL and then ATL-ICN? Both routes are supported by Delta, and you could probably get those meals and in-flight services! (Just a possibility!)
I feel it's just the exactly opposite. Flying on KE is an upgrade compared to DL....a huge upgrade. Just for being skyteam elite plus, the purser always greets me and gives me a personal welcome. DL doesn't do that as a norm. on KE the food is better and bigger portions, the flight attendants are a little less engaging, but generally more polite and definitely more *attentive* and accommodating (they RUN when you press the call bell). People keep saying the temperature is too warm, but it's not. It's just not freezing cold like on other airlines. If you're in a simple T-shirt you'll be just fine. And if you get cold, use the blanket they provide. It is adequate. DL flies the A350 on the ATL-ICN route, KE flies the 747-8i. KE wins with the comfort, regarding the seat. The seats are wider by an inch, and you get 3 extra inches of legroom. You need to be in comfort+ on DL, to get the same legroom as you would if you were in regular economy on KE. That's one of the awesome things about KE - even in regular economy, they give you massive amounts of legroom. Same with their other long haul planes such as the 773ER and A380....tons of legroom for free, that you would have to pay for when travelling with american carriers. I'm also curious why you think KE's planes are downgrades. They fly the 748, A380 and 777-300ER on long haul. Those are modern planes. Many of DL's planes, such as the A332/333, and especially the 767s, are up to 30+ years old. DL does a FANTASTIC job keeping the older planes refurbished, so they do feel new however. But otherwise, KE's fleet is a lot newer. And again, when it comes to seating, KE is better by miles - wider seats with a lot more legroom. The only place where DL clearly is better, is the inflight entertainment. They have way, way more movies and TV shows. I mean, DL is my preferred carrier in the US, but realistically KE is better in most ways. All asian carriers are better than american carriers, with the exception of Air China and China Eastern, those two are about the same as american carriers.
I recently flew with korean air from paris to incheon in prestige class. What a flight! One of my best experience ever
Amazing!!! I can’t wait to try out their prestige class one day.

Thank you for good review our country’s airline😮 They always have a good service and fresh meal on during the flight. Have a great time at Seoul😊
Of course! Korean Air is such a great premium airline. Sadly, I was only transiting in Seoul. But, definitely would love to visit Korea soon.

The cabin interior looks clean and new ❤❤❤🎉🎉
Yes it is! Stay tuned for my next Seoul to New York vlog. The 777 on my return flight was much newer and nicer.
Thank you for sharing. I’ll be flying with Korean Air to Atlanta next week.
That’s so exciting!!!
Thanks for mentioning your height. So many vloggers mention leg room but don't say how tall they are making any conclusion useless. Good info to know.

Love KE’s bibimbop 😅
They’re so good!!!
Korean air is great 🤝💯🔔ok my friend
They are amazing!!!
FYI sir, there is a universal power outlet to the seat. It's in between your seats and under you (visible in the row behind you at 1:09). Great video!
Hahaha good eyes!!! Thank you for pointing out. I didn’t notice.

Good job 👍

I traveled with my carryon Away bag (21.7" x 13.7" x 9") and a small backpack. It was totally fine.
2 bags up to 10kg (but as it's a FCC they don't rlly check)

Thank you for the comment. I will keep it in mind for my next vlog :)
Does Korean air offer soft drink options? Or just juice?
Hi! Yes, Korean air had other beverage options too such as carbonated drinks, coffee, tea, beer, wine, and whiskey in main cabin.
fyi every single international flight has soft drink :D
I saw in the map that you were going to fly over the artic, later in the video, why did I see you over Alaska rather than the artic ocean. Did the plane change directions or something?
Good observation. I’m actually not sure. But, it seems like the route before departure was a straight line. So, maybe just a rough estimate.
@@TipsyFlyerMost likely because flying over Russia is not possible now for western airlines. Companies have to modify their routes because of this.
How was the cabin temperature?
I remember being moderate. I had a sweatshirt on, so i was comfortable.
