- CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF OUR FAVOURITE PURPLE BOY
Funnily enough, last year when this MAP opened for the first time, Reignited had not been announced. But now that Reignited is just around the corner there wasn't only Spyro's birthday to celebrate, but his triumphant return as well!
Spyro is a series that I hold very close to my heart. Thanks to the classic trilogy I was first inspired to draw the characters from the games, and thanks to the Legend trilogy I was inspired to start writing dramatic stories and take my art more seriously. It is all thanks to this series that I am the person you know today.
I am sure that a lot of you watching this will also have a similar story. I know so many people who also loved Spyro and his many adventures and grew up with his games as I did. And I hope with the release of Reignited that many more young people who might have missed the glory days of the purple boi will get a chance to experience just how wonderful his adventures were.
I would like to take a moment to thank every single animator in this project. They all contributed their time voluntarily and did an absolutely gorgeous job. I cannot thank them enough, I love them all so much!
I would also like to give a massive shoutout to Toys For Bob, who are developing the Spyro Reignited Trilogy! Thank you so much for bringing our favourite purple boy back to life and reigniting our childhoods!

@@shydreameress264 Activisions Vice President of the COD franchise has stated in a private conference, how "Spyro Reignited Trilogy" and "Crash N-Sane trilogy" both sold very well....and that we should "expect new games, but beyond just pure remasters. The fans are going to want new experiences."
I believe they wikl remake the whole Tlos trilogy. It is not a far extension of reality. We may have to wait at least 10 years for the game to be considered "nostalgic" but I'm telling you man...it's inevitable. I can link the article shortly.

If u show them games it makes a good bonding experience and shows the kids what they missed. That's what I'm going to when I have kids and I won't discourage them from playing games that was made in their time. It won't help them in the long run.

The work of all the animators who participated here is wonderful. The transition from minute 3:31 to 3:36 just WOW. For me, that is the best part of the video.
It is surprising to see how time passes so quickly that inadvertently 22 (almost 23) years have passed since the Spyro franchise was created. It only remains to hope that the future holds for our purple dragon.
Actually shed a few tears watching this- spyro was a massive part of my childhood and inspired me so much to become an artist because of the visuals and character designs. Every single animator in this MAP did spectacularly! 💛💜

I so hope there is a future for Cynder, I liked her as much as Spyro and wanted to know more of her as a character.

It's so true! I was only maybe three when spyro came out and while I wasn't allowed to play that young I'd watch my mom play.
I was six when I got to play for the first time and I've been hooked ever since.

I have a lot of memories playing Spyro with my mom who passed away from cancer when I was 8. After seeing every Spyro game and played some, I truly fell in love with this rare purple dragon. I love seeing this and it made Spyro come to life in such a spectacular way! It’s just so good! I can’t wait for what else comes from these animators!

After finally completing Year of the Dragon, I return to this - masterpiece.
I laugh at the re-intepretations of some of the scenes, love the idea that Hunter and all the others stand ready to welcome Spyro home.
And can I just point out how nice it is to see Spyro: a Hero's Tail, get some well deserved credit?
I remember this game as a child. It brings tears to my eyes.
That was the most beautiful thing I ever saw. Cynder and spyro together with that music and the animation. The beautiful drawing i have no words to describe how beautiful this is. I cried watching it.

I sobbed watching this. Spyro has helped me so much while growing up with regards to my depression and going through hard times in my life. Spyro has always been with me and the fact that he's coming back, with all of us now adults, means the world to me. You all did an amazing job capturing the spirit of both the classic and TLOS games. Well done.
Ya know, Spyro will always hold a special place in my heart. This lil purple dragon has been through so much, from humble beginnings to a glorious remaster. I may not have been able to play all of the games, but I loved watching it all put together in this so beautifully, especially re-watching it after watching playthroughs of the Legend series. Soooo many feels. This is absolutely beautiful.
Saw this on a whim in my recommended and I'm glad I did. I was seven years old when I first played Spyro 2 and fourteen when the Legend trilogy first started. Loved them both and I'm absolutely stoked for the Reignited Trilogy to grace us two months from now. Very well done animations, from everyone involved.
Let's continue this adventure together.

Basically in the middle of playing the Glimmer world it randomly gave me he supercharged flame power up and it won’t go away. I was able to cheat in the orb challenges since I could just aim and hit the lamps without having to learn to climb for the first one or fly at all. It pretty much takes away some of the challenge and can be game breaking in orb challenges
I don't know the fandom, I don't know any of the characters, but the way final map looks is truly amazing and really emotional

Holy shit, this is so good, everyone did a phenomenal job, I love this so much, the OG and TLOS nostalgia is REAL, glad to have something this month that makes the delay and longer wait more bearable. It's exhilarating to see all of these amazing animated pieces come together to celebrate out favourite purple boi, everyone knocked it out of the park and I can't wait for November to come around now
Blaze -- I don't know what the chances are of you reading this but I just want to tell you. I've had a really bad couple of days and seeing this in my feed has been the best thing. This map makes me feel so many emotions - happy, sad, nostalgic, energetic, everything. This is such a good song to pair with amazing MAP parts for a game that already meant so much to me before. I can't put it into words because I just finished the map and I'm crying with joy. I'm so glad that after all these years Spyro still has a special place in so many peoples' hearts. Thank you for bringing this project to life, all of you. This is the best thing I've seen in years.
this made me tear up, ive grown up with spyro, im only a year younger then him after all, and this series has been my all time favorite since i was a child and just to see him get so much love and attention nowadays warms my heart
I grew up with the classic trilogy, Spyro 2 being the first game I've ever played, so seeing this legit made me tear up.
I may not have any nostalgic ties to the game, but being part of this and reading how much it inspired you really makes me happy and proud I was able to contribute to this :D This is so gosh dang cool! Well done everyone! :D
Chylk I’m the same way I was born after the originals came out and I was only 4 when the legend series came out but now really getting into it I am very glad I did it is an amazing game and even has an amazing reboot that I like even more than the original

I... I actually got a little emotional over this. Spyro was my first video game and I've stuck with the series through all it's ups and downs. Seeing it all brought together like this... and how it matched so well with the lyrics.

I watched this through tears, I was four years old when The first spyro came out and I fell in love with the cheeky little purple dragon. It actually had a deep personal meaning to me so this with my favorite song was absolutely perfect.

I never played through the original spyro games, I've only played dawn of the dragon, but it's still one of my favorite games of all time and I absolutely adore the Spyro franchise. This MAP made me cry, everyone did such a good job
I was born in the year of the dragon, which to me makes it no surprise that I love dragons. Legend series Spyro was the one who introduced me to dragons in the first place. My grandma bought me Dawn of the Dragon as a Christmas present, I played it and loved it, just wish that I wasn’t forced to skip to the third game in the Legend series though.
Other then A Hero’s Tail, I’ve never played any of the original series, but I’m glad that the Reignited Trilogy will give me that. I’ve watched playthroughs of the original series and I gotta be honest in saying that I without a doubt prefer the Legend trilogy since it gave us characters like Cynder, Ignitus, the other Guardians, The Chronicler, and the many other new characters they introduced, but I know that I’m still gonna love playing the original series in the Reignited Trilogy.
With all that said, I’m sure original and Legend Spyro and all the characters from their respective worlds are glad this video was made... except the original series villains since they know that they’re going to get their butts kicked again.
Dang nabbit, why do I get fuzzy feelings watching this? I never even played these games...wait, yes I did, not the old series, but Legends, and I think I own the remake of the first 3...yep, I should play that sometime. Thank you for inspiring me to play a game I've owned probably since it came out. Also, to all the artists, really good work.

I've only just managed to get round to watching this and it's amazing! All the different styles work so we'll together and it's colourful and bright just like the games.
I won't lie, I teared up at the line "these people raised me." Because the franchise has raised me. I've been with the original trilogy since I was 4 and here we are 20 years down the line with a remaster right around the corner for not only a few generation of kids. But for us who are now adults and can finally relive the magic.
I have watched this like 50 times now and its always so heat warming yet so sad at the same time
