Mike articulated his points really well and lifted the veil and described the secret sauce of Redbar and why it works in this video. Redbar isn't for everyone and it shouldn't be. He understands culture extremely well. Be entertained and laugh and enjoy the razors edge of the cringe/offensive and uniquely brilliant comedy. I am immensely entertained by Mike. If he wasn't as smart as he is Redbar would never work and I wouldn't be a fan but he is and I am.

I encountered a group like Mike's describing here, but it was upside down world. Michael L Brown came to my campus to talk about Israel Palestine. I knew nothing about him and thought I'd learn something useful. I think I was the only non J in attendance out of a group of 40-50 people. The audience was comprised of privileged Js from the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Rachel Corrie had just been bulldozed by the IDF. The reporting of that was used as an example of how everyone is out to get the Js. Much of what Mike said at the beginning of this clip was going through my head while I was around these strange people. Just saying, there's probably just as much of this whacky thinking on the J side as there is on the non J side. Kanye was probably surrounded by these types.

I think it’s all “1 issue groups,” there’s a creepy shortsightedness. Almost like it’s a cult of people who think 1 issue will perfectly solve their lives.
I did some volunteering at a place that happened to be vegan, I didn’t know it at the time, but literally every single person I met there, talked about almost NOTHING but veganism, 24/7, nothing about jobs, families, art, comedy.. it was super unsettling.

@@gorgon5633 you can’t always tell at first that a group is screwed. Groups need to focus on topics. And not everybody is autistically obsessed in these groups. But as Mike said, there’s a deeper issue at play with a particular personality type of people who are drawn to that way of seeing the world. It’s almost unfixable, like most of people who are in cults or fundamentalist extremism. The best we can do sometimes, is just acknowledge it exists and avoid getting stuck in those groups ourselves. These types of groups aren’t going away. Because Some problems aren’t fixed by the right idea or a based video. Personality types are often inborn. Like personality disorders, Some problems are too serious & embedded in human nature to address them with mere words or philosophizing.
I love these intervention style rants Mike sparingly does. He did one with sven back in the day too

The problem is, people continue saying the wrong word. Start calling it what it is: “Zionism.” Saying “it’s the jews” is stupid and doesn’t convey the truth. Blaming things on the Jews is, as Mike says in the beginning of this video, going to make you seem unintelligent the same way talking about flat earth will.
The problem is that these communities have such a persecution complex they never engage critically with each other. The j stuff has such a wide range of claims, some undoubtedly true, some completely baseless. To say it's true without explaining what parts, and having a bunch of people just mindlessly agreeing in the replies, is exactly why the community is roundly mocked and rightly so.
They are international communists trying to control the world. A couple years ago I would have laughed at that but I have seen many quotes from them saying exactly that. Jules has nothing independent to say about Sam Tripoli, she would never have given him a second thought if not covered by Mike. Nothing she says ever needs or would ever need censored. Nobody tunes in to hear Jules opinion. We all tune in to hear Mike. I get that shes Mikes wife, and i do actually think shes a great producer of the show. The show is better with her a part of it, but fuck sake, I wish she'd pipe down a bit.

Great clip, but too much talking from the girl, she used to stay quiet before but now little by little she has started to talk a lot and it's quite annoying at least for me it is, let the star of the show speak, the one we are here to listen to. Talk only when it's necessary.
Yeah, she did mention she's drunk here. I like when Mike just steamrolls her, or straight up tells her to be quiet ha. But generally, she provides a nice 10/90 balance. In this it's more like 30/70. Also, how dare she have her face uncovered.
Her main role is best as producer and moderator of the chat, operating lights and turning on hot dog steamers. She’s also witty so I don’t mind when she chimes in but this is one case where she’s clearly feeling loose. She never talks this much
