I have a mini schnauzer who just turned 7 years old and let me just say that this dog saved my life. After my divorce, I was in a very bad place mentally. This dog never left my side, never chewed up anything, and always cuddles up against me as if to say that I’m not alone. The love I have for my dog is beyond words.
My mini schnauzer was the same. A true angel during my marital collapse and divorce. After divorce, I was laid off from my job and had to move back home. Not long after that, my schnauzer who got me through so much and moved cross country with me died suddenly of autoimmune hemolytic anemia at only 5 years old. No idea how I pulled through all of those devastating events. I will never forget her and how amazing she was.
I completely agree❤ My mini schnauzer was 15 when she passed and SAME. She was the the absolute sweetest, so smart, never destructive, I could always rely on her to brighten every day. She is the best teacher and friend that I have ever had. Not a day goes by when I do not miss her. I am SO grateful that I was so fortunate to have such an amazing soul in my life. They really are such a precious gift. ❤
I have two of them, the older one is almost 16, unfortunately he’s dealing with some health issues but he still has all the energy in the world to chase birds and bark at other dogs, he’s been with me since I was a kid and not seeing them because I moved out of my parents house is hard to deal with, I definitely want another in the future, just love the breed (even if they are noisy as hell 😂)
I have a mini schnauzer who is about to turn 2 years old in couple months. He's super duper adorable, extremely stubborn. Sometimes, he pretends like he can't hear you or he loves to do certain things accordingly to his pace. He's very demanding when it comes to his play time with me which is set to 7am and 5pm everyday (due to my working hours). He'd bring different toys to get your attention. And if I try to ignore him, he will howl. He's just so entertaining to be around. haha
My little man never chewed anything he wasn’t supposed to, never tore anything up. He was so smart, I didn’t feel like I actually trained him to pee outside, or how to do things. He just knew. He knew everything I said too. If I said “walk”, or “snack”, or “Petsmart”( he loved going there), or “DR.”, he knew. I had to be careful, if he thought we were going somewhere he’d get all excited like a kid, & bug me til we went! He loved riding in the car too. He’d sit there looking out the windows at people in cars, & they’d laugh & point…it was just cool! I miss him terribly, every day…😥
It’s 10 weeks in NH. My two pups were both about 4 pounds when I brought them home. Jake passed away at the age of 15. Chloe is 8 years old. ❤ best dogs ever.
Love little Stella. She is so precious and reminds me so much of the 2 schnauzer I raised from 6 weeks to 16 years old. They are so wonderful. Thanks so much for making these videos. Oh, shredded toy problem...get her a small Kong toy. They don't shred and all my dogs have loved them. They are helpful in the chewing period they go through. Please give her a hug for me. ❤
Minis are very independent. Happy to be with their owner, but also happy to play by themselves. It sounds like some of the issues you have comes from a poor breeder, since pups shouldn’t leave their mother until at least 8 weeks old. 6 weeks is far too early and they still have much to learn from their mother and siblings.
I have a mini schnauzer as well. I showed her your video, turned my phone sideways and she watched your Stella and the entire video. It was so cute and your fur baby is adorable ❤

We lost our schnauzer 4 days ago due to old age. We had him 14 years. He was very loyal and had been there for us through some rough years in our lives. Wifey and I plan to get another one. Perhaps next year, we are still mourning. 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
I have 4 a mother, father and 2 pups that are almost 2 now. They are about 18lbs, 18lbs, and pups are around 15lbs. They eat all day and run all day both indoor and outdoor.
As a miniature schnauzer owner my schnauzer is NOT energetic ALL the time and is the sweetest and the best friend I could ever have schnauzers also learn quickly if u want to teach them tricks❤
@@jonnanr18 He is doing well with going outside, and not in the house. We wanted to train him to puppy pads and that didn’t work at all. He is peeing in his outdoor pen, but refuses to poop except near our fence. The pooping forces me to follow him all over the yard with his leash, as he is too small and fast to be outside off leash.
@@dougbotimer8005 - yes, same here - he won’t go on puppy pads, he likes to play with them tearing them apart. We are all day on backyard to make him do his business. Because he is too young, he pees every 10-15 minutes…
@@jonnanr18 We’re lucky that he is catching on fast. Although out trips outside get extended by distractions like dogs all around us he has to know. There were four squirrels playing in the trees over his favorite fence this morning.
Ours never tore up anything of value but loves shredding toilet paper and chewing on baseballs if she can get them, I don’t know why. I have really been thinking about getting one more schnauzer.
My mini schnauzer loved to run around my sons house after his cat she would never hurt the cat then the cat had kittens and when my schnauzer saw them she was scared and too scared to move..
My Schnauzer is 12 and was just diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. We are devastated, she is the heart and soul of our family. They are the best dogs.
Mine had a similar condition. It is largely genetic, but can be exacerbated by a poor diet full of human food scraps, poor exercise, and lack of micronutrients.
I got a female and male from the litter. They keep each other active I have a dog door so they go outside all the time. They chew everything..toys, the squeaky is taken out, and shread toys, paper ripped up. ..❤❤❤❤
We have the best mini schnauzer her name is Izzy. She is a soft gray and all the tings your video said. Toys are everywhere! She flies down hall to get them. I sure wish I had your area to throw toys to her. I do in our back but she won’t give them back! As soon as weather better days are spent at a park where we can really get going. Picky eater? Or did I do it?

@@Anne-xg8cg I would have LOVED to keep our mini schnauzer's tail; docking tails is still allowed in the US and most breeders still dock them at a couple days of age. I wish very much it would be illegal. I think it is cruel to take any dog's tail away from them
My schnauzer s alot more mellow. She will bark, although not excessive. I always discouraged her to play too rough so her toys do last. Also, I teach her to fetch all different toys at eating time, so make use of her intelligence. She s also trained to be alone, so I go to work. I love her

When I bought mine in Australia, the breeder would not let the pups leave until they were 10 weeks old. She was still tiny.

My mini weighed 7lbs and she was the best. She passed away last year at 12 yrs old and we miss her so much.

This is our first schnauzer. I love her. I wasn’t aware of docked tail vs natural tail until just recently.
I agree about the tails my schnauzers take is always upright so even see it when running in long grass
