This is exactly why I started following your channels: loads of entertainment but also a number of videos aimed at helping us improve in Classical chess. There is nothing that beats spending time over a position, seeing plans and countering those of the opponent. Brilliant content!
Sorry to hear about the loss of your father. I lost my dad a few years ago. I try to remember the good memories of him. I have been interested in this opening because it has a fun sounding name, like you will tromp your opponents. So I appreciate your time sharing your game with us.
There is an impressive quote from a Nobel Prize-winning Turkish writer, who says, "A man's death begins with the death of his father." As someone who lost his father at an early age, I have been dying since that day, I share your pain and wish you patience, you are a good person, Mr. Williams, please live long. ..
Sorry to hear about your Dad Simon, can hear the difference in your voice. Well done for even doing a tournament and carrying on making content for everyone x
Nice video Simon, great to hear you talk through a Classical game. As far as the evaluation goes, you are using quite an old version of SF there (Version 11!), the newest version is 15 and is considerably stronger and it also preferred White in after 12. Qxc4
simon when you moved your knight to c7 to exchanged rooks, could you have moved it to b6 instead? the point being, if he takes your knight with his rook, then you take his rook on d8. so after the capture of rooks, in the end your knight ends up on c4 to start the endgame with enormous winning chances i think.
Truly sorry about your father Simon, all the love from Canada :)
Very sorry to hear about your father Simon. Keep strong!
