I would have loved to have seen Bon Jovi doing their own version of it for the New Jersey LP. And Richie bringing in Crystal Telefaro in on the bridge just shoots it up to the next level of greatness.

I don't get it... I would understand you if he gave this song to Justin Bieber but he gave it to Cher. CHER. you know Cher? A living legend, a woman said to be one of the best female singers ever?... besides she was his girlfriend back then. I love them both, Cher and Richie. they decided it'll be her song, it wasn't a mistake, it was just a choice. + he made his own version of it which you can listen to here so I think everything is fine.
