Himeko now has a new Relic set, and two new teammates that both do great in terms of buffing her, with Topaz and Ruan Mei. It's really ranked her up a TON, especially in certain fights.

You can play her as Hypercarry with 2 buffer/debuffer.
Build her, specially if you don't have Fire.

She was my 2nd and I've got her to E2 now. She pumps damage and is a really cool character. I literally just posted how she was one of my favs too. She's awesome regardless of what the MeTa says.
As someone who had Himeko as my second 5 star and got the perfect fire relics whilst farming wastelander and a good bunch of archduke sets whilst grinding relics for ratio, I see this as an absolute win
She was my 1st 5 star as well.. Shit got real when Topaz came out
When you say relics are rng and that it takes the same time frame to build a character whether support or dps, I just have one contention. I remember there being a excel spreadsheet of like thousands of relic runs and it showed that stats like crit rate/dmg are less likely to show up. While more supportive stays like ehr are on the same tier as hp/atk. So while it is just rng, the rng is skewed against DPS.
@Iyo thanks for showing that combination, it actually helped me clear MOC 11 in 3 star this week. I had given up on it, thinking I could not beat it because I lacked an additional character, but the Himeko/no heal choice was inspired!
Was building Himeko in prep for Pure Fiction, I'm super happy to see you showing her love to the player Base. More importantly I'm glad you're bringing to light Dual DPS, Sub DPS, and out-of-turn damage, the game is evolving and each of these aspects should be brought to players attention for team building consideration.
I finally got Ruan Mei and she's so much fun to have on my teams. I find she really is Himeko's (and any other break units) BiS harmony unit. I just wish I could refund the materials I spent on Asta. 😅
Don't undestimate Asta. She is still a god breaker for Himeko's teams, and she can be played if another dps (Blade/JL) needs Mei.
i already got addicted to using the topaz/himeko/asta/fuxuan comp last patch against fire focused floors, now that i got ruan mei that comp just stomps any fire content, unfortunately floor 11 and 12 arent that viable for them, regardless it is a pretty fun comp to use
I got 3 cycle clear on moc 12 first half using Topaz Clara Ruan Mei and Luocha.
Even though only half of the enemies are weak to only one of two dps characters :D
I bet with doctor ratio I can get it down to 1 cycle or even 0 if I go without sustain.
@@sticky-soup maybe topaz/ratio/welt/ruan mei can work well as a sustainless comp if you manage to ult consistently with welt and prioritize the imaginary breaks

I have always been a fan of dual dps, and I tried very hard to make Himeko+Topaz work. With Ruan Mei, this actually works!

I've been enjoying playing a mix of Blade, Jiny Yuan and Xueyi (enemy type dependent) with Ruan Mei and Fu Xuan. Great fun, loads of follow up attacks and I'm considering saving for both Jing Yuan's light cone and Topaz rerun. Got mono/pseudo imaginary for my other team and slot in whichever support will help with the enemies on that side. Looking forward to "losing" to Himeko or Clara this year 🤞🏻
I pulled for E1 S1 Ruan Mei to enable the 2nd team you used. I still use break Himeko, but she always cooks and i prefer using her over Seele

I started playing in 1.3 phase 2 and I have been fortunate enough to get different characters to enable different archetypes: Bronya for very aggressive hypercarry teams, SW for mono quantum, Ruan Mei for duo dps. And I'm having a lot of fun trying out these teams. I think I'm only missing DoT. Do you suggest me to get Kafka? Or Maybe Black Swan?
Got back into HSR at the end of the argenti banner. The amount of farming to catch up is insane. Luckily I started farming for himeko like a week or 2 ago but these artifacts gonna make me kms

I'm just glad that my characters stats are more or less similar except for crit values on some and I'm very low investment only buy battle pass every now and then. So I have no signature lightcones except for some standard banners like Clara and I have a bad habit of keeping a lot of relic artifacts at around 12 😅😅😂
But the team that's been doing fairly good for me is Clara , topaz , pela and fu Xuan and will substitute in Himeko when needed

Great run. Glad you made Himeko work. I think where she would really shine is the pure fiction. As for support vs dps relic farming I agree that it is equally difficult to farm good relics for both, but supports don't suffer so much if your relic quality is bad while DPS characters do

it's not the same resource investment. If you build a good hypercarry team, you don't care about enemies Weakness Type and still can clear fast enough. There for, you only need to build 4 characters.
Same thing cannot be said for Duo DPS comps. If neither of your 2 DPS are on element, guess what, you can't clear floor 12 fast enough (Assuming e0 5-stars, 1 signature LC max per team). Thus, you will have to build another character just to have the dmg boost. That's minimum 5 characters.
The fact that you had to do floor 10 and 11 already confirms this. There will be MoC cycles where they cannot clear flloor 12.

I used Himeko from the first day of release and got laughed at. 9 months later and she is the strongest hypercarry in Pure Fiction, and using her against any fire weakness is a free win in MoC on my account.

I have wanted to do that with my teams for months but i honestly dont know how to do that
That’s what shows whenever you open the team details inside of the MoC page (before you click start challenge). It’ll bring whoever you have picked to the front in order.

@@Iyoverse for my second team is gepard, yanquing, Ruan and tingyun. For my first team I have lynx, silver wolf, bronya and seele.
Your second team is already there for Yanqing. You’d probably be better off replacing Timgyun with a 2nd DPS tho. I’m not even saying that because I like Dual-DPS, but just because Yanqing’s DMG output is suuuuper low.

Dont have himeko but trying to do something simulair with herta.
Herta can easily clear MOC 12 as the hypercarry.
I ran her with Ruin Mei, Bronya, and a healer. No problem.
And i only got Bronya off the Standard Banner after 300 pulls with the selector.
You can replace Mei with Tigyun and it still works.
Having Herta as a sub DPS is harder because she does need the additional buffs to hit hard enough.

I am really interestedin what you said about sub dps yanqing, I love yanqing, have him leveled and think he's great so I would love to see how he could work in alternative team comps that ain't hypercarry.

Why break effect? As far as I know, fire break is meh, so you should probably focus on pumping Himeko's numbers

The Thief's set? I wouldn't bother running it on her over the other sets unless you have some godly pieces for on that set. Break is great to farm right now, but Himeko really enjoys the combinations of Musketeer, Firesmith, Grand Duke, & then Break if you really just wanted that set.

Not really. Hypercarry is still a better use of resources. The “reasoning” in the end he gave doesn’t really make sense when you compare the universal flexibility of a support vs a DPSs unit in a sub-DPS role.
Take this for example. He needed 2 other characters: Ruin Mei and Topaz to make Himeko worthwhile.
I built Himeko. She is worse than Herta, who I also built.
And it is MUCH easier to build them as a main DPS vs a sub DPS because you can hyper concentrate all the buffs. I easily cleared with Herta as my main DPS in MOC 12. I have much harder time with her as a sub DPS.

Honestly, I really want to try investing in Himeko, I know it would take a lot to get her to a useable state vs my other built damage dealers.
She’s so fun to just have on screen and watch things get ripped to shreds every 2 attacks.
Honestly like how is this considered a no cycle I'm not saying it isn't or your capping more so the amount of moves involved in the 0 cycle like u used each character 3 times speed is so broken
No offense, however there is a reason (or two) of why Dual Damage Dealers teamcomp outside of Kafka & Topaz aren't as competitive as hypercarry, is because HSR lack of _enabler_ chars like Kafka & Topaz. Sadly, Himeko isn't one of them. A certain villager said, viable != optimal, while Dual Damage Dealer Himeko is viable, it just not optimal.
The rest of my replies will be wall of text, so skip if you want. Kafka able to detonates dot on enemies, which means enemies takes dot immediately without the need to enter their turn first. This basically Kafka _enables_ dot chars to deal more damage since she deals more dot ticks. Asta, which boosts SPD for all allies (so Kafka can be faster thus more detonation will happen ) also happen to boosts ATK for all allies as well for both dot chars and Kafka, which makes Kafka's team very competitive. Topaz also _enable_ fua(follow-up attack) allies to deal 50% more damage. Besides, the more fua allies trigger their fuas, more Numby attacks will triggers as well, which benefit both sides. Topaz as for now isn't as competitive as Kafka, however Dr.Ratio will gonna change this soon.
Himeko on the other hand, doesn't provide anything aside of her own personal damage (and toughness break) to other damage dealers. Let's be honest, Xueyi & Himeko share zero synergy with each other, and Kafka & Himeko also don't have any synergy at all too(outside of enemy shares both ele weakness). Topaz DO have synergy with Himeko, but that's because Topaz is an _enabler_ to Himeko, not because of Himeko. You change Himeko to JingYuan probably will still be smooth sailing to Topaz, but if you change Topaz to Hook or Serval, your Himeko team probably won't be as smooth as you use Topaz. I know the more you break enemy toughness, the more Himeko triggers her fua, however you don't need another damage dealers to do that, supports like Pela, M7, FireMC, FX, Luocha etc can also break enemies just fine.
You can argue Break is one of HSR mechanics that should be utilized, yet Break is not _the only one_ mechanic that HSR has. As long as we kill the enemy, broken state or not, they will be killed nonetheless, so we can ignore Break. However there is another mechanic that you can't just ignore it, and that is Skill Point. SP management is very important, as if our chars can use their skills, you either lose damage, or you probably can't heal. You can't randomly pair Himeko with another random damage dealer, since most damage dealers need to consume SP, and Himeko also wants SP too. Ofc you can't just pair Kafka or Topaz with a random char too, however at least either dot in Kafka team, or Topaz herself doesn't need to use their skills so often.
In summary, you can build Himeko however you want, be it hypercarry or dual carry. Unfortunately, dual carry Himeko is not gonna be as efficient, nor it would be as effective, as hypercarry. Ofc Himeko probably is not your only carry, you will have another carry that's for sure, but then again place them in the hypercarry setup (sure you can argue it's boring but) is probably better than put them on dual carry with Himeko. You don't need to follow the META, yet at the same time, dual carry Himeko probably won't become META anytime soon (PF may change that, but outside Himeko with Herta, might as well just use hypercarry Himeko to sweep all of the mobs by herself).
… I would believe what you’re saying if I wasn’t physically doing it in this video and on streams. Himeko doesn’t need to be an enabler. She isn’t there to enable anyone. I thought I did a pretty good job at explaining why she is on the team in these last few videos, but maybe not? I’m not sure how else I’d be able to explain her purpose (with proof) without someone telling me that it isn’t viable/can’t work, even though I’m clearly doing it. I’m genuinely at a loss on that. 😐
@@Iyoverse I didn't say her team is not viable. If it works, then it works. Is it optimal? I guess optimal is subjective as long as it works but to me personally, it's not as efficient as hypercarry.
She doesn't need to be an enabler, Dr.Ratio isn't an enabler as well. Yet it doesn't mean Himeko suddenly works with any carry either. Using your showcase as example, Himeko DOES NOT boosts Xueyi's damage, and vice versa, Xueyi also doesn't boosts Himeko's damage either, they were doing their own thing (sure we get more breaks but it's not like it HAS to be another carry). If that is the case, why not just put another Harmony like Bronya/Asta, to let Himeko deals even more damage rather than to distribute their damage. Himeko either needs to be an enabler, OR she needs an enabler to be worthwhile of your resources to put her with another carry. And please don't let me start to tell you why supports & sustains are CHEAPER to build than carries.
Saying Himeko is great at Dual Carry basically also says that JingYuan, Argenti, Jingliu (or any other carry really) are great Dual Carries as well, that basically is your showcase all about, no? Ruan Mei IS great for Dual Carry setup, however.
Unless we get a character that is a damage dealer AND also increase Fire Damage for all allies for example, I don't see a reason to put Himeko with other carry (with Topaz and maybe Herta to some extent, as exception). Like, if hypercarry setup already works out, then is there any need to put another carry? In my opinion it's better to build new carry for weakness coverage instead to use them to existing hypercarry, unless the carry is an enabler.
Again, I'm not saying it's not viable, if you want to put Himeko into Dual Carry setup, be my guest. I'm saying it's not efficient nor effective for your resources, even as a Day1 player (and your investment level isn't helping too, to convince me). But hey it's just my 2cent.
@@deempay I’m not sure how to respond to this without saying you’re just outright misunderstanding everything about what I stated in the video. What you’re arguing/telling me right now isn’t even something that begins to actually be a problem. Like these are made up issues that don’t exist (to me or the team) because I built the team to work a specific way in order to get exactly what I wanted out of it. I didn’t need the team to magically do something it wasn’t built to do. I explained why and what the girls were there for and unless a support character does what Xueyi does as a passive, then it wouldn’t be the same thing.
I even went as far to show the team functioning with different characters, supports like Pela/Asta included, and you’re still telling me it’s not optimal? I physically made it optimal. The only way to make it more optimal is by someone making the 1-cycle a 0-cycle. You telling me what a character isn’t designed to do that another character does, doesn’t somehow change the fact that the teams I showed performed smoothly together. No one was dead weight.
Lastly, if I wanted to call Jing Yuan a great dual-carry, I would do that, but that hasn’t left my mouth just yet. I’m all for you guys loving hypercarry, but at some point we have to stop telling me or others to prove something. We do it, and then there’s all of a sudden new or stubborn rebuttals even though it’s clearly being done.
Like if it took me 5 cycles, then yeah, I guess I’d have no choice, but to agree with everything you’re saying, but that’s not what happened, y’know? I look at characters differently than a lot of the community, which allows me to build or theorize what would work in an optimal or goofy manner, but still get the job done. That should be acceptable and okay. Why am I constantly being berated to only use/promote Hypercarry or something? Not every character needs or wants to be a hyper carry.

I thought you pushed the idea of Dual Carry Himeko, instead you were trying to say Himeko(or other carry) can be build with more variety outside of Hypercarry and still performs _optimally_ . Unfortunately, I'm still stand on my words. I AM NOT saying Hypercarry is THE ONLY team for Himeko NOR I say Dual Carry Himeko is bad. I EVEN SAID you _can build whatever you want_ if it works for you. Yet like I said before, "optimal" is subjective. For example, your optimal is maybe 0-cycle, while my optimal is to clear MoC within time limit _with my existing teams_ . You managed to pull off with your account, which is great, but I doubt I can replicate that because not only I don't have my Xueyi leveled yet, she's not even at E6. Sure, I don't need to 0-cycle it, yet if I reach same results with less investment (swap Xueyi to Asta for example) then I don't need to build Xueyi, because truth to be told, I really don't think Xueyi is viable teammate on that battle especially at lower eidolons even if you managed to "optimal" end. Even you have to reset your run at least thrice(?) in your video to reach "optimal" end.
Maybe you ask us to be creative, to create more teamcomp outside of Hypercarry because Hypercarry killed creativity or something. Still, there is a reason word META (Most Effective/Efficient Tactics Availalbe) exists. Meta teams allow you to reach optimal result with _least_ investments. If both team can 0-cycle, but one of them is much cheaper to build, then I will choose the cheaper one. You can say "meta" kills creativity, it's just happen Hypercarry is one of the meta rn. Ofc, everyone has their own interpretation about "meta", I can't force mine to you. But usually, popular meta teams are widely accepted by community so there are no reasons to question that meta team. Not everyone willing to experiment their team, me include, especially if I need my resources somewhere else. It's fine if SU or other content, but MoC does really force you to use your resources as efficient as possible, especially now we might need to build another carry for PF. I know we don't need to follow meta or glorify it as the only answer, my friend who play Genshin for 3 years never follow any meta, yet he still clears hardest content with his own team. If you are a new player...here is my advice...NEVER build any unit because of "MoC showcase" or "MoC meta". The cost is too high, and the reward very limited...only build things like Himeko if you have already a lot of units and just don't know what to build anymore.
Not a good advice. Himeko is great to build if you're going for a dual setup. Hypercarry setups are better reserved for Destruction DPS characters.
Hunt units should run Dual DPS setups

Bro relics are RNG but they still have a base prob. HP main stats have a higher chance of dropping than crit rate/ crit dmg. It is easier to build a support than it is to build a main Dps. Be plain and candid ugh.
Honestly Himeko's follow-up doesn't even get used enough to justify that set. The Prisoner set is really good for a dot team because of the def shred and atk buff though.
This doesn’t matter. The atk buff from the follow up set lasts for 3 turns. If you are running Himeko with RM there is no way you aren’t getting a follow up in 3 turns. Even if you aren’t using RM, you should be using her against enemies that are fire weak anyway. And bc her follow up atk has 4 hits per target she only needs 2 enemies on the field to hit the 8 hits needed to max the passive. The follow up set is her best set rn. Literally a 17-18% dmg increase from a 2pc/2pc

The def shred 18% was the biggest advantage for anyone who has their dot on trace kits like serval,hook and asta dps imo.
Sure it was weird built but because of guinaifen can be paired very well with himeko and it consist of fire weakness you get aton of it than running her solo or even other character who dont have their dot applyable. Im not saying granduke set was bad in fact its very good for himeko but because the enemy consist of 300+ toughtness bar, along the way himeko losses her best damage likely 20% of what we has to expect her to be.
And also just seeing the dream stuff about black swan i had a doubt himeko gonna have a good synergy from her like kafka does. IYKYK
@@zmkatsu4885 I know about BS. But for Himeko herself DoT set is a net loss bc her own DoT is less reliable than her own follow up. The amount of EHR she would need to guarantee her DoT is so high that she will lose so many substation rolls that could be used for crit, cdmg & atk. A team boosting her dmg% & cdmg will yield more dmg and be more optimal even with BS. BS is more valuable in a true DoT team. And the 18% def shred requires consistent 3 debuffs to be viable. And that 18% def shred would only be more valuable with both More def shred and more dots which again limit her own personal dmg. Himeko would appreciate more buffs than being placed in a DoT team
@@chimezie7 dot himeko doesn't have to be so high tbh. In fact raw chance dot himeko still do fine on her own, she has alot attack count to proc her dot chance just like sampo has but doesnt have to.
I have occasionally seen himeko footage with prisoner still proc dot even thought they dont built ehr but still got, but true himeko in actuality just want any character buffer who gives her dmg% and cdmg% but being that prisoner can be alternative and in terms of damage calculation i got it was better dmg total than what grandduke gives. Atleast in 2.0 she will got a better relic again knowing what it give was very tasty than grandduke for himeko. IYKYK

Weird take from me, if a team doesn’t consist of a DPS SUPPORT SUSTAIN, then I refuse to categorize it under anything but “unconventional”. Reason being you can pair supports with any character and clear any stage in time. Same as packing a ton of Dps in one team. A regular team should always consist of Dps support sustain, for META sake. Because that’s the blueprint for any effective team in the end game. Now you can play casually and do whatever you want but for meta sake and meta categorizations ain’t nobody bringing a team with one support three Dps no sustain and presenting it as viable.

@@gyamfid.k5070 I usually think that exact same way too, but in HSR, I’ve learned that since there is no PvP, the meta really comes down to what you can do vs the game. If I can run max DPS because I KO the enemies before they touch me, then it’s worth bringing into discussion, y’know?
Not gonna lie, I can't relate to this video since I'm F2P. None of my characters have their signature light cones, and all of my 5 Stars are E0. So it's hard to tell if my version of those teams would be as good. Or if there may be stronger teams for me, that require less investment.. 😅
If you have the characters, you can definitely make it work. You might need to do a little more work for increased Cr. Rate, but I don’t think it’s a make or break on the overall synergy/performance of the team. What’s funny is those first two runs, I don’t even have Harmony LC on Mei. I was running Planetary, which I forgot to take off after my testing for Jing & Yanqing.
