This can be changed in settings. I've always messed with it in chirp, but I think there's a menu setting for it. It's band priority and transmit priority.
change the resistors in the mic tsap on ther mic, the 3.5 ground ring tip, to trigger channel A a 750ohm resistor is tapped from ring to ground, if you want to transmit B the 750ohm resistor is tapped from ring to tip, the speaker mic only has one switch, and its resistor is tapped from tip to ground hehehe, just chect the hand free earpiece that came with the radio
It's acting normally. You need the dual PTT mic - not the mic for the UV-5R with only a single PTT.
it has different resistor trigger, if you want it to stay on band A, change the resistor in the mic

I correct mic for the radio.
thats not the right mic for uv-82 .. use the dual ptt..
