  • Plant now, enjoy later! Set your spring garden up for success by planting some of your favorite perennials and shrubs during the fall. When you plant in the late summer and early fall, well before the first freeze, the warm soil gives your new plants time to grow roots and establish in your garden. This means you can look forward to healthy blooms and established plants come spring. In fact, it’s actually preferable for some areas to plant in the fall instead of spring.

I have a greenish white flowering hellebore that bloomed all summer! Idk if the flower just dried right on the plant but it was fun to see.
