Nazareth is a Totally Underrated Bands. Should be in the Rock Hall!!! Pete's Playing is the Bedrock of Their Tunes. Morning Dew, Hollis Brown. Thanks for another Great Video
May you be remembered well in Heaven sir. Dan McCafferty - October 14, 1946 - November 8, 2022 ❤
Boy did they ever reinvent it! Love Joni's lyrics, but Nazareth's music together?💥
God bless you Dan McCafferty and condolences to your family. Thank you for the music, you will be sorely missed!
Thanks for the wonderful guitar, Manny, R.I.P.
Nazareth is the best cover band that was not a cover band. & one or the best, period.
Love this song, Love this band. In the mid 70's I had Rush 2112, Sabbath Bloodk Sabbath and Nazareth Greatest Hits. All on 8 track for the car and all played until worn out. Ah the good old days!!
I grew up in a small isolated town in the Rocky mountains, I was heading to school one day and my neighbor came out of his driveway basting This Flight Tonight...it blew my 12 year old mind, I became a huge fan and finally saw them live in 83...WOW, that's a long time ago :)
This Flight Tonight was my gateway to Nazareth and for me, the Loud 'N' Proud album is still strong as a rock. A friend and I saw them in Oslo in 1976, we were only 14 years old but looked way older, this was the first major concert we went to and up to this day one of my best musical memories.
I would love to see Nazareth! Such a great 70's band 🙂
i seen them in Stephenville Newfoundland in2004... Trooper were the headliners
I'm amazed ANYONE remembers Nazareth.
I'm 59 and I remember watching them on t.v when I was about 13!
In fact...I'm amazed they are still alive 😨
Great band though...😎
That's very a good album hair of the dog by Nazareth !
I first heard hair of dog many years ago i was probably around 14 it was one of the coolest songs I've ever heard still lover it today i listen to it on RUclips watching on RUclips videos it's a special thing to see and hear your songs one site awesome work 👍👍 thank you all very much
Nazareth was also famous here in Finland. Same level as Slade,Status Quo, Suzy Qustro.. great band.
Met the band years ago in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Very cool experience.
Another great cover version, quite different from the original, was the Sensational Alex Harvey Band’s “Delilah”. Their former guitarist, Zal Cleminson, joined Nazareth in the early 1980s, for a brief time.
I saw Nazareth in Westerly, RI at the Windjammer in 1990 Blackfoot opened up for them lead singer was Dan
This is the greatest cover version of all time. I only wish that I could understand the language these Scotsmen speak.
give Under My Thumb by Streetheart a listen
Fascinating interview, I didn't even realize this song was recorded by them!
Nazareth my fav. First
The best.✌
If you have trouble understanding the gentlemen speaking, just click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the video and turn on captions. That’ll help, a lot.
🤞🏼🤣
I had to turn on closed caption for this thing
They have such strong accents isn't it funny that we can actually understand them when they sing a lot easier than when they speak I feel like just saying just thing to me what you're trying to tell me in conversation"""" now there's a Twist LOL
Subtitles please.. Incomprehensible to my ears
If Nazareth borrowed Joni Mitchell’s song and made it their own, why did they get so pissed when Heart borrowed their version and made it their own?
They talk fast!....damn.
I am always curious if Dan will return to the band. I saw the new band and it is a more of a cover band than anything
And then Heart used the guitar riff in Barracuda.
They cover her song, and it's great.
Heart takes the riff from the Nazareth version, and suddenly they're the devil.
I love Nazareth, but hating on Heart is just dickish
