I love how people think portal 1 is a horror game when its literally a game about going through a facility with a evil giant robot that tells you to do a epic 360 fling shot no scope
Things are always silly on the surface. But if you have portal 1, boot it up, and just sit in a corner for a while, looking at the white panels and 'windows'. Then realise you aren't the only person whos had this testing forced on them. An entire complex of forced human experimentation for malevolent overlords in the aperture boardroom. All in the name of science. But all those other subects are gone, it's just you and the AIs, thousands of miles underground with your only light being artificial.
@@Despotic_WaffleI get what you're saying, but most of the plot points you mentioned are from Portal 2. Portal 1's lore is very shallow compared to Portal 2's lore. For example, the backstory of how the scientists died because of neurotoxin was first introduced in Portal 1, but it was further developed in Portal 2's Lab Rat comic. The "thousands of miles underground" plot was introduced in Portal 2, and the same applies to the "forced experimentation" plot. Portal 1's atmosphere is great, but from a lore standpoint, it's very underdeveloped.
Man... i just feel sad that I'll never experience something like this again. The ambient music, sound effects and textures of the game just goes so well together.
Because portal 1 is a test of what a game with portals could be like. Like a demo. And portal 2 is a full game with a story using the full idea of portal. I like that they're different games cause just imagine portal 2 being like portal 1 it would kinda be repetitive so I'm glad they're not similar
I can imagine this playing maybe before GLaDOS awakens in Portal 2, before Wheatley and Chell meet Just somewhere, maybe the old test chambers. All rusted as plants take over..
Nostalgic... Creepiness... Sadness... Loneliness... Hopelessness... Poor Caroline (GLaDOS) and Cave, Poor Ratman and other workers and their daughters (and maybe cats), poor Chell and other test subjects... and poor whole Earth outside the facility...

I feel the same
Portal 1 is a horror game, cannot convince me otherwise
More like arg
More like psychological horror perhaps?
Yeah, it still feels a lot like a horror game regardless if it’s not, similar to that of Minecraft.
This soundtrack is.. A poem, full of sorrow, lamenation and loneliness
.. It makes me imagine a Apocalypse..
Thanks for remix, good work ♡
Playing Portal in 2007 is like enjoying a nostalgia trip.
when I play portal 1 on my tablet, this music always tensed me up, as if reminding me that I was the only living person in aperture science.
You play portal on your tablet?????????
@@tdfhd yes
@@VladNaliv awesome sauce
@@tdfhd I just downloaded the cache of this game, then downloaded the launcher, I extracted the cache into a folder srceng and launch the game
This is exactly what I've been wanting to hear for a long time.
Very beautiful, op, thank you
"Momentum, a function of mass and velocity, is conserved between portals. In layman's terms, speedy thing goes in, speedy thing comes out."
How is portal 2 even supposed to be a sequel to this 💀💀💀

Just somewhere, maybe the old test chambers. All rusted as plants take over..
And the underground, massive wrecks lying around in water, untouched for years
And as the toxic water seeps in and plants grow even more, the facility starts to liven up as chell is awoken
wow thats beautiful
if the original made me feel lonely and locked up...this makes it worse
