If we are going by the speculations, pretty sure after Portal 2 ending, she is outside , with combine and other stuff from Half-Life, running around, events from Portal (1) could've taken place when combine was taking over the Earth Glados quotes, portal 1 : ``Are you trying to escape? The fact that this game had so many moments that make you laugh your head off, and having a story that is darker then games that try to be dark. Really makes it a game like no other, and when you ad this music, it drags you in more and more. That's why Portal is easily my favourite game ever.

In an early build, the consciousness of Cave Johnson was planned to be trapped inside of a cube after early attempts of the project that made GlaDOS, you would find it in the abandoned, underground section of aperture, and it would beg the player for death. Imagine how different the mood of the game would be if that made the cut.
I like that they did something different with Portal 2 and executed it perfectly. Trying to replicate the first again may have worked but I like that we have the two different mood/interpretations of this world.
I was listening to asmr in my likes playlist while I was sleeping and this came on. I had the strangest dreams and when I woke up I was nautious and disoriented feeling. This song does something to you.

In Portal, either it is 1 or 2: You are alone. Wheatley or Glados aren't real humans (Ignoring all the theories) You never see Rattman, Turrets were built to shoot and nothing else. Glados is a robot that needs to test. Wheatley is a companion who justs want to prove he isn't a moron. The Companion Cube is a cube and nothing else. *_You are alone._*
