      As a south american, there won't be much value of merging with us. At best, LCS gets like 2 or 3 ok players, but there's not much else we can offer. We have a couple of "big" orgs, but they aren't even big in terms of fan size or viewers they would attract

      I only watched LCS because a couple of entertaining players or teams from earlier season. For me the best time for LCS was (and would always be) 2016. CLG won spring went all the way to MSI final with their unique team plays and occasional surprise picks. Immortals was also entertaining to watch because of the Huni-Reignover synergy. TSM with Bjerg and DL was also performing at their peak, same for C9 with Jessen and Impact. It really looked like the most hopeful year for NA.
      Overtime all of those players were either gone or became too trash to watch (or both) (especially Bjerg of all people. The dude should have gone back to EU and joined a powerhouse instead of wasting his career in NA; he probably he could have done way more in LEC). Now NA just doesn't offer anything fun to watch.

    as I see it, the infamous Ibai tweet was faning the flames of the KOI vs. KC match, given Yamato's role. Coupled with Elyoya's tweet towards Nisqy, I think it should be taken as banter to spice things up, we should be enjoying the ride imo

    I am spanish, i was curious about the english content related the lec in comparison with spanish content, and there several thing that was surprising to me. I am not super fan of any team , if i fan of some of them it would fnc. Anyway.
    - The ibai vs Yamato, from spanish side it did not feel so bad or tense, it was salty but nothing more else, anyway. In spanish community, yamatto is seen as a joke as a coach. It's a meme. it's has been interesting this point has been a controversial topic imo.
    - It's surprising to me that if you dont see ERLS , me neither, so dont know the players, if a team of 4 rookies performs very well only dedicates 2 minutes to talk about it but ok. For example, to not mention spanish examples, for me jakies has been a surprise. Isma too. (at least from this one you have said something good).
    Its the first week, lets see how continues. (Probably someone will think i am are megafan mad lions or something, of that team i am fan of the coach xD more than the team itself) . thanks for reading if you have done it.

      rogue didnt work so he sell again his brand to mad lion ... and now act like he build somethink win somethink .

    • @carlostapia8840
      @carlostapia8840 9 месяцев назад +4

      @@TelManothHexperax mmm sorry but in this topic i disagree. Maybe for me it's reasonable what he has done.
      - Ibai has a strong brand(the same that kameto has). He only wants to do content for the team and vote in some important decisions. In Rogue he had no so much vote, afaik. And he finished in bad terms with the team, remember he had to pay a lot of money because of Rogue company. He Will leave Rogue anyway.
      - So imagine that a team like Movistar (it's parte of telefónica company , if you dont know is one of the biggest company in Spain). This team is known for having the best infraestructure un SLO(this was said by all the players that has been there, coach,analists,resources), this team appears and propose to join. ibai does the content, Movistar put the rest.its a win/win situation from my perspective. And mad lion join in order to give the lec spot. ( What win mad lions? Movistar put so much money and manager the team).
      Resume, Ibai stays in "his team"(part of It), with a good infraestructure and with people he knows Will work well. He has a good relationship with Movistar CEO.
      So I understand what he has done.

    Just wanted to comment on thooorins point on the draft timer -- there's been interviews regarding old c9(2014 era) where bc lemonnation would have the notebook, and they had all pick ban decided (this was before on stage coaches). So they would instalock picks immediately, and enemy team would feel stress about only having 30 seconds to pick.
    Nobody drafts this way anymore, I just wanted to mention that, in times past, having a "solved" draft was a contributor in c9 being able to punch up in international competition.
    Tldr; not always the best decision to wait until last second to pick. Projecting confidence is a thing that has some amount of influence on the game.

    • @laisensei6984
      @laisensei6984 9 месяцев назад

      It was an inventive way of drafting at the time, and probably could have done C9 more good in seasons before 2017 if they kept it. (After that, I think having a "solved" draft is kind of obsolete now and would give your enemy too much room to counter your draft while you don't have much room for adapting to what the other team is trying to do in order to counter you)
      CLG also had some sort of inventiveness in 2016 in their teamplays which helped them upset powerhouses like ROX, G2, and FW. Somehow, not only were these "inventiveness" never appreciated in LCS, but they were constantly reduced less and less throughout every split because every NA teams and their coaches just want to mimic the Korean macro (or LPL aggression), which essentially removed everything that used to be unique about their good teams and left themselves a bunch of half-witted copy cats.

    A few people are noticing that Saken is a coaster. He doesn't teamfight perfectly as he got hit by the CC from Sejuani. His hero has a dash to dodge the Sej ult at the right range, or he can let Cabo and Bo frontline the Sej ult. He doesn't understand when to engage with dash into shuffle.
    He lets Upset 1v1 the Akali in the toplane fight and the baron fight. Both could've been Upset saying that he had the fight down, which he did in the baron fight and almost won the 1v1 in the toplane fight.
    I think the 3 players carried over from the LFL team are underwhelming. I'm not gonna give my order of whose playing the best and worst.

    • @albert6049
      @albert6049 9 месяцев назад

      Edit: What I didn't mention, is that I could be wrong, but I believe my perception that his teamfighting is mediocre where he got caught like Haeri's Azir . His good highlights are few and his bad highlights are few, which is similar to someone who does nothing to avoid getting benched to the 2nd league.
      I think Cabochard and Saken both played sketchily, and Targamas had a poor showing in the 3rd match. I haven't spent enough time to judge who is playing the 3rd best on the team, so I won't conclude that "I think Targamas had only one poor match and is salvageable."
      I think it's okay for me to make an accusational claim, and be wrong, or be right. I want to make this claim.
      (I was critical where Saken got hit by the Sej ult, as it only happened once, but it was literally a mistake from a recently ERL player. He looked like a rookie with mid fundamentals, kind of like a rookie even though he was in LEC. I guess my broader point is that he isn't playing like a perfect positioning player like Chovy. Despite looking "consistent", Saken's fundamentals don't look as clean as what is presented. If I look at the prior games, he did have meh (or very few) highlights but definitely poor moments, yet maybe his presentation of himself or the LEC's presentation is giving him a cleaner image than how he is actually performing.) My conclusion is that LEC presentation is giving him HUGE benefit of the doubt, and I have a high suspicion that he is playing overly safe so that it looks like he has no mistakes. Him and Cabo are both playing equally consistently poorly.

    Invest heavily in your collegiate scene. Make state divide as big as possible and have running stable servers for all states to use
    Put clips and content from the collegiate scene on your main lcs broadcast
    The winner of UCS (or whatever you call it) gets to host LCS playoff weekend the following split so local fans and players can attend. Then let the UCS winner play on that stage in a warm up game for the show.
    All that builds hype for college and high schoolers locally for the game which is #1.
    Then let that trickle into LCS by having franchised teams have a state base of operations. Sure they’re all based in California but if Flyquest had an association with MIT or something then they could cultivate an east coast fanbase. Stuff like this helps build loyal fanbase for teams rather than just players.

      Bo needs a mid laner that is willing to be the dog in the pairing. Hence why Nisqy keeps getting mentioned in relation to a mid laner pairing for Bo. He has all the qualities to compliment Bo. Bo is clearly a carry jungler and having a facilitator style of mid laner is exactly what he needs.

    After hearing the idea from Monte regarding the LCS. I want the Atlantic Super League. Combine all 10 LEC teams, with the 8 LCS teams. We get 9 matches a week. Each team plays one and its genuinely just a 34 week (or 30 week season including superweeks)
    And we get a midseason tournament that is seeded by standings after the first 10 games for MSI. The top four 6 go to worlds, and 7 and 8 go to a playoff with other wildcard regioins.
    You're conjoining successful american sports models, with the EPL sport model. Could be successful

    Im a LCS unicorn i suppose. Been around since the beginning. Im a huge C9 fan. Most of the rest of the league kinda sucks. I was a huge fan of Dash. I really enjoy LCS casters over other regions casters. But our storylines and orgs kinda suck.
    I actually think TL is 1 of our worst orgs. Imo, they got really lucky getting DL and Impact and CoreJJ, just happened to have the money. But year after year TL is the place where talent goes to die. They either get a rookie and they do alright than pick up a bad rep or bad habits and thats the end of their career. Or they get some boomer veteran who ends up playing worse. The rare exception being Jensen, CoreJJ, Doublelift, and Impact, but if argue that if you put them on a org that actually is good at fostering talent, their careers would be even more insane.
    Idk, the rest of the league just seems like they are there to coast? Idk...
    Giving people a reason to support their teams would be massive. Maybe actually building storylines would be cool. Id love to see a east vs west thing. I think the emphasis on fan engagement is actually the most important thing. I can say the past 6 years ive felt the LCS players and broadcast team (except a few like Kobe), generally hated the fan base with a passion. Like, i get some fans can be toxic, but it felt like they hated all the fans as a result, and kinda treated us like pieces of shit for it.
