      @@redbird6310 Marriage is the first covenant created by God between Himself, the man and the woman. It's a reflection of Christ and His bride, The Church. The devil hates it because God loves it. The devil loves divorce because God hates it. Our responsibility is to agree with God on everything. Unfortunately, we don't and we wind up seeking our own pleasure and never grasping the wholeness that can only be found in the cradle of Christ's atonement, which is the ultimate goal. There is only one hope 🙏🏾

    I believe there's a LOT of Christians living in miserable marriages that just want to make sure that everybody else stays in their miserable marriages until death of one spouse. There certainly are a lot of legalists who want to bind men and women into marriages where there has been serial infidelity and abandonment based on their Pharisee-like view of scripture. I thought Dr Ruckman's teaching had the "Spirit of Truth," and showed the absurdity of how/why a person that's been abandoned is no longer "in bondage" to the one who abandoned them. As he said, Matthew 19, Romans 7, 1Corinthians 7 are ALL within the context of divorce and remarriage... That's what's being discussed in each situation. Regardless, there is POWER in repentance, His Mercy endureth forever and this is not the "un-pardonable sin." I can't stand to see all the condemnation slung on people who've been divorced and remarried. ONLY GOD can condemn and judge. If you want mercy and forgiveness be merciful and forgiving. We all come to different understanding of certain doctrines in the Word of God, let each man be convinced by his own understanding. PS I am NOT married or even dating... I just get sick and tired of all the condemnation. JESUS CHRIST came for the sinners not the righteous... Lord have mercy on us all. Amen.

It's running rampant in our country and it's ruining our country. Homosexuals can now get married. Stop and think about that. Homosexuals. can now. get legally. "married". If people don't start talking everybody going to die and go to hell. Society is going to be done with and no one's going to know if they are a human a, girl, a boy or an alien because the only ones that will be talking are the ones that say you can choose your sexuality, you know everything's available ... all that mess and blah blah blah. Of course we value marriage, but we also value people. And I respect people of different convictions on the subject, but I agree with Dr. Rahman on this. His rhetoric can be something else, and I know that he went through two different divorces and it does make me wonder. And I also am not king James only, but I certainly admire his work on this subject. Some people just like to have other people under bondage and you’re right. It certainly is not the unpardonable sin.

      +Jerry Lisby It is nothing to do with self righteous but what the bible says. You can try to justify all you want but God's word is the authority, not man. If you divorce and remarry, you are living in adultery. You should not be a preacher or have a Sunday School Class. Anyone that does this in continually living what God considers sin. Always trying to lower God's standards does nothing but confuse people and you have this on you. Yes, everyone who does this wants to find an out and loves it when a so called Preacher tell you it is okay. If you divorce before you become a Christian it is different but if you are a Christian, you can never remarry without committing adultery. God's word, not mine.

    • @jerrylisby3440
      @jerrylisby3440 8 лет назад +9

      Paula Turner You have no idea what you're talking about. For starters no Christian can live in sin. He is a new creature in Christ. Of course he will sin, but he is no longer a sinner. He is sealed by the Holy Spirit. It has everything to do with being a self righteous hypocrite. Jesus forgives ALL sin. The blood cleanses from ALL sin. Can't remarry? You've never read 1 Corinthians 7? Nobody said divorce was good. But actually God is divorced. I guess you never read about God divorcing Israel. I guess you never read about God telling Hosea to marry a harlot? There is nothing in the Bible forbidding a divorced man from preaching. In fact he can Pastor as long as he fits the criteria in 1 Timothy 3 where divorce is not even discussed. You should have listened to the video and you would have learned some things. You are self righteous yourself or you wouldn't believe the way you do. I am amazed at all the Pharisees who think divorce is the unpardonable sin. The Bible is for folks doing all they can to save their marriage but 1Cor.7 says if the unbelieving depart let him depart, a brother or a sister is NOT in bondage in such cases. It goes on to say if that person is allowed to marry again and have NOT sinned. Besides, no Christian lives in adultery. He or she may commit adultery but if someone marries an adulteress they only commit one act of adultery. They are not continuing in adultery the rest of their lives. That's just plain dumb.

      Hey Adam, this is only my counsel, so seek more counsel as the Bible teaches, "In a multitude of counsel there is safety."... Under the "law" of the Old Testament, for a man to take back his first wife who's defiled herself with another man, this would be a transgression of the law and considered an "abomination" However, we're under the New Covenant of Grace and many things including all the dietary laws of the Old Testament/Old Covenant no longer apply. Over-all the teachings of Jesus and the GRACE of the New Covenant is all based on LOVE and the forgiveness of sins through the blood of Jesus Christ... Having said that, I believe that if a man wants to forgive his adulterous wife and take her back, they both have the forgiveness of sins through the blood of Jesus Christ... There's many things in the Old Testament which were considered, sin, un-clean, (even tattoo's) ... But Glory be to God we're under a New Covenant of Grace and the "Royal Law" of "LOVE!" ... And where the there is the "Spirit of Grace there is freedom."

    Funny thing is that he claims to never take a verse out of context, however, Romans 7 is talking about how a Christian is not under the law (dead to the law) and uses an old Hebrew "law" as an example. The point is that if we seek salvation from the law we are committing spiritual adultery. It in no way speaks to the subject of marriage.

    • @henry-joemurphy1286
      @henry-joemurphy1286 7 лет назад +2

      No, I believe he was using Romans to articulate the point that once the spouse is dead a person is "free" from the bondage of the marriage covenant, brother. You may be confusing two different parts of the video. Watch it again. He gave (his understanding) that there are 3 grounds for divorce in the New Covenant: 1) Death of a spouse 2) Fornication 3) Abandonment He used Romans 7:2 to edify reason #1; Matthew 19 to edify reason #2 and 1Corinthians 7 to edify reason #3.

      @tawanaharris4600 5 лет назад

      @ CheezItsAnd Ketchup ... But then after you remarry, how does that make you any better than your spouse? They broke their vows and now you're breaking yours to them. That's why God says, "and the one who marries her commits adultry". She's still married in the eyes of God.
      The verse says you can put her away for fornication, it doesn't say you can get remarried after you put her away. But married people can't fornicate, married people commit adultery when sex happens outside of the marriage, so this verse is not even for the married couples post vow. That verse was speaking about Joseph's intentions before he and Mary were officially married. They were only espoused though the Bible still calls him her husband and she his wife.

    I don't believe this because ruckman left out very important scripture which the original gospels say. 1. When the Pharisees asked Jesus about divorce he said the worldy system allows divorce for any reason and Moses permitted it because of the hardness of thier hearts, but then says BUT FROM THE BEGINNING YOU KNOW IT WASNT SO! THAT IS WHAT HE LEFT OUT! As well as leaving these very important scriptures out, IF A WOMAN LEAVE A MAN OR VICE VERSA WHILE THEY ARE STILL ALIVE AND MARRIED THAT THEY COMMIT ADULTERY AND ARE EVEN CAUSING THE ONE THEY ARE LEAVING TO COMMIT ADULTERY! The scripture also says that if a person gets a divorce they not only committ adultery but also cause the one they are divorcing to commit adultery. This is in the original scriptures and you need to look at the original Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek words to see what it means as well as what the words mean like adultery etc. This man is wrong for certain.

    You can know them by their works (evil deeds, remarriages). This legalist liar ignores 1 Corinthians 7: 11: Remaining single is the only thing left after after a woman is separated or if she has remained chaste she may join back with her husband. The husband must not send away his wife. 1 Corinthians 7:15 points out the unbelieving man or woman married to a Christian can depart at his or her own will even though the Christian does not desire it. It is always better for the couple to remain married. Nevertheless, the Christian does not have to go to unnecessary lengths to keep the partner. Let him or her go.
    However, the decision is critical as to remaining single if that is the choice. Abstinence is required (v.11).

    • @scottwheeler3452

      You lack understanding. Read the passage you quoted incorrectly. The husband is not to do what? Put away his wife. The wife is to do what? Remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband. Different actions depending on who left. If the wife “divorces” the husband, then she’s under bondage. He is not if she puts him away. Especially if she becomes “one flesh” with another, according to Jesus “except for fornication”…the covenant is broken.

      Jason O'Steen a young widow would have children from a previous marriage. Just because she has young children from a previous marriage, divorce doesn’t necessarily follow, unless you count the previous husband’s death a divorce, or at least an illegitimate divorce.

    If sex forms a marriage then you can't fornicate. Why would God differentiate betweeen fornication (sex outside of marriage, a sin) and adultery (sex outside of marriage, again a sin) if having sex without being married to somebody forms a marriage? Why would He differentiate between a wife and a strange woman? How do you avoid fornication if all you have to do is have sex to be married? When did the marriage occur? If fornicating creates a marriage born of fornication, are you just supposed to keep fornicating in that "marriage"? There has been no formal acknowledgement of a marriage. No vowels have been stated. Sex cannot possibly form a marriage. That doesn't make sense. And if you can't live in an adulterous marriage, then why does God say the one who marries her commits adultery? Why would God want you to keep doing the thing that caused you to commit adultery which is sleeping with this married woman? If sleeping with a divorced woman creates a marriage then why does God's Not condone it? Why does he call it adultery?

      Paula Turner if my wife leaves me and gets a divorce then people ask me do you have a wife I say no, if I get remarried to a sister in Christ and someone asked me do you have a wife I would say yes I still only have one wife at a time, when you don't rightly divide the word of Truth because most people don't study, and most people really already have a bias going into something about the word of God and whatever it is that you are seeking is what you will find in this holy book,
      The greater the truth the greater the humility is needed to receive that truth because Pride blinds you to the truth
      If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in US, he that is born of God does not commit sin neither can he, Jesus Christ is sealed until the day of redemption, when we sin we will reap In the Flesh and when we lie to ourselves, woe is me and thee.
      Why is it that the scripture says everyone that is proud in heart is an Abomination yet we tell our kids we are proud of them?
      What other lies have we been telling ourselves that make it okay to call evil good and good evil and put bitter for sweet and Sweet for bitter like we are warned not to do in Isaiah chapter 5 verse 20?
      Dr. Ruckman is God's Junkyard Dog, he is a World War II Army officer dog face!
      The scripture talks about the body of Christ and that the hand is not the foot nor the eye and that there are comely and uncomely parts.
      Forgive me for my crude analogy, I dare say that no one would ever want to live their life without an anus, I'm not saying that's what dr. Ruckman is or was but I am saying he brought to light a lot of caca in the body of Christ, I wonder if everyone who has been blessed by King David and his writings in the Psalms could talk to Uraiah, and listen to what he thought about David after he had murdered and stole his wife?
      It is not until you recognize that that very same evil lies within each and everyone of us, and is lying dormant and more times active and is seeking to devour you and give you what you truly deserve
      Good people go to hell, bad people have the chance to get saved
      I'll criticize dr. Ruckman when I won thousands to Christ as he has, when I stood up for his holy King James Bible and taking the ridicule of everyone else, when I do these things I still would not judge another man's servant
      just remember the toes you step on today may be the hand you wish to kiss in heaven

    Fornication is sex between 2 unmarried people. Adultery is sex between a married person and someone who is not their spouse. Jesus said what God has joined together let no man separate. Divorce is man made. You can separate or even divorce but you cannot remarry 1 Cor 7:10-11. Mark 10:10-11, Luke 16:18 say the same thing. Romans 7:2-3 say its to death and you repeat this in your marriage vows to death do us part not to divorce do us part. Matt 5:34 and 19:9 both say fornication is the only exception and Jesus used this word for a reason. It's not the same word as adultery. Fornication was the engagement period like Mary and Joseph. This man was married and divorce 3 time, that should tell you something. He is not following scripture when it says a pastor should be the husband of one wife. What a joke.

      The AUTHORISED KING JAMES BIBLE does say LOOSED twice in I. Corinthians 7:27-28. Look it up. Other bibles teach in those verses that if you are "loose" then you should not seek to marry, which is catholic nonsence. I checked, and he did say I. Corinthians 7:15 in place 12:35 in the video, but that was a slip of the tonge, other places he says 7:27-28. The thing is, 7:14-15 tie in with 7:27-28, and what is in between there is other things.

      @Piper LT Preach the lie of remarriage to those who want to hear it. I'm grounded on the Rock of truth. Remarriage after divorce = ADULTERY. NO EXCEPTIONS.... why? Because if anyone who is NOT a virgin gets married, they are already GUILTY of FORNICATION; and being accepted by the other as such.
      Therefore, whosoever will marry him or her as a fornicator, would be a HYPOCRITE if they try and divorce them for fornication.
      If you knowingly marry someone who has already become a fornicator, you CANNOT divorce them for fornication. And chances are they were also one theirself.

    According to God's Law a man can't be considered "divorced" (put away). Only a woman can be "divorced" (put away) because ONLY the husband is given the authority to divorce. Read Deuteronomy 24:1-4. If a man "divorces" his wife is considered divorced because if a divorced woman makes a vow, she is bound by it. However, if a married woman makes a vow her husband can annul it.
