That's so cool. You are a part of an amazing history in l'ocean. I did mention that It was used a gymnasium. Thank you so much for sharing your UNIQUE experience there in the 70's :-)
hi just subscribed you, would like to come rabat for 3 months, could you please tell me how to get 1 bedroom apartment? do you know how much is cost to rent 1 bebroom apartment in cheaper area in rabat? thank you.
it's very cool your sweet vlogs. but you have to change your sources about morroccan history, cause you go wrong all the way. and it may make people not happy to hear that wrong things. juste notice that the only fact between spanish and morroccans is that the spanish lost all their wars on us, they always been slayed by morroccan forces, they never controled anything there. the fact of having spanish church is only because of refugees of franco's civil war (morroccans did it for all religions because of their open minds) not because they had something else . hope you success and good luck on the net :)
Thanks for your suggestions. I appreciate your feedback. I will however try to answer each one of your points with historical facts: 1. The Spanish lost each and every battle against Morrocan forces: I'm not sure what the source of your claim is, but all historians would agree that Spain colonised the northern part of Morocco (Tetuan, Chefchouen, Larache, Ouzzane, Hocaima, Nador, Ksar Kebir) between 1912 - 1950 forcing the king at the time to sign an unfair treaty cold "protectorat." If Morocco had won the battle then how was Spain able to invade the north? Would it have been by sheer desire and no legal paper? I think not. One example is The Battle of Tetouan between Spain and Morocco. The outcome was a Spanish protectorate in the region. It is well-known and documented in works of art such as: La batalla de tetouan. The original is circulated around the world in several collections and copies are sold within Morocco. ** Here, I'm not denying the horrific sacrifice of Moroccans neither the horrific resistance in the Rif. The fact, the Spanish came to Rabat as a French protectorat at the time (Remember we are talking about the 30s). This was clearly mentioned in minute 2:48 so you may want to review the video again. 2. Morroco is tolerant. I never mentioned it as otherwise. If Morocco and l'Océan in particular was not then, I wouldn't be here. 3 There's to this day still another church here in Rabat called Mission Catholica. There are also ones in Tangier, Tetouan, Casa - just to name a few. It is not something to be defensive about rather it is a fact which exemplifies tolerance and a place of peace and diversity. My goal is to share that with viewers so that we can all enrich ourselves with an open mindset while respecting culture, traditions and local heritage while traveling to lands near and far.
